Excellent video. You were so right in saying don't just apply for anything. Plan out what credit union has the products you want, and plan out what products you will get. Apply one bureau at a time and do it quickly so that the right hand may not know what the left hand is doing. That's what I did, and I was able to get 11 credit products (10 cards and 1 PLOC) in one credit spree. When something changed or I got new info, like PENFED stopped offering PLOC, I updated my plan. But it all started with having a plan that was written out. And when information changed, like PENFED stopped offering a PLOC, I updated my plan.

I wish I saw this video last year. I have 10 credit cards and 47 inquiries. I need to go in the garden and freeze my reports because I am getting dinged for the inquiries. All I need is Amex and Discover then I will have all the cards on my wish list.

So for the first scenario you explained, are you saying 3 banks nets 6-9 cards? 2-3 cards per bank after 6 months of activity?

Bro, I just went straight to the Chase Rep and shoot it: “I would like to improve my Credit Utilization Ratio. Is possible to get a Credit Line Increase but without incurring in a Hard Pull with the Credit Bureau?” The Rep answered “Yes, we can give you a Credit Line Increase. It wont be a Hard Pull!”
With all this, what I try to say is, go talk straight to the Bank by phone, don’t apply online or through the App, and ask them directly “I need this and that. Could you do it?”
