  1. For some clarification: The NieR story spans over thousands of years. The events NieR Automata happen a couple thousands of years after NieR Replicant. A lot of the flashbacks said to have happened back then are actual events that can be seen in the NieR Replicant game. If we're lucky, we might get a NieR Replicant anime too.

  2. If you like these interactions I would HIGHLY recommend playing the game.
I expect the anime will focus on the main story entirely, since they don't have a lot of episodes and that's plenty long by itself.
But there are TONS more of these kinds of interactions in side quests in the game. You really see a more human side to a lot of characters in them.

  3. I was dreading for the VILLAGE throughout the episode glad it wasn't harmed or destroyed like the Amusement Park previous episode

  4. Who ever made this game made a very interesting game. It’s sad I only knew the game exist because of this anime.

  5. This episode really shines a spotlight of mix feelings of joy, sad, and surprise. As one who play the game, I never thought to see Emil shine but he was featured in the previous game of Automata. As he was a outstanding member of a team that seem to have a deep lore about him. I hope you play the game and I believe soon “English Dub” would be coming if the English VA from the game come over to record their lines from the game to anime. 😌

With that said, your reaction to “Self Destruct” to 2B and 9S was so funny that you gotten lost for words 😅

  6. bro i didnt expect i will see kaine, weiss, nier and yonah and when the ost play while they showing the memory is give me in tears i miss that squad

  7. The memories in the creepy head were references to the previous Nier game that was recently remade into Nier Replicant.

Nier series and Drakengard are very interconnected.

  8. Answering "Is this what the game is like" , basically , yes, with some differences. Most of the stuff that happens in the anime happened on the game, and yes you can talk to little robots if you want…. Some things are different, so, if you play the game now is kinda like reading the book after you saw the movie.

  9. If you get invested in this, you should:

    0. Watch a video summary explaining the story of how Drakengard leads into NieR: Replicant. ( Can be done later and be careful with spoilers. )
    1. Play NieR: Replicant ver.1.22474487139 ( Yes that is the official title of the game)
    2. Play NieR: Automata

This way you can experience the story in chronological order. You might not understand it now, but this is something life changing (in the literal sense) for many people. You will see the story is far deeper than what can be seen on the surface in the anime. Touches the topic of what it means to be human in many ways, and much more.

If still invested: ( will be)

    3. You can play NieR: Reincarnation, it is the official continuation, but it is a mobile game, and it is unlike any mobile game, story wise.

  10. Only those who have played the Nier automata,NieR Replicant or Drakengard can understand most of the plots
Although I didn't want to express anything, but it is true that people who have played games will have some feelings for this anime
People who haven't played it not understand the plot
    just saying

  11. Pascal's name actually comes from Blaise Pascal, who was a French mathematician, physicist, inventor, philosopher, and Catholic writer.

  12. The head in the tree is Emil and a cinamon roll 😭
The memories are from Nier Replicant, another game of the serie and chronologically before Nier Automata. The guy with the little girl is Nier and they aren't YorHa.

  13. The part which Adam ask Eva to call him ‘’Oni-chan“ to ”Oni-san“, actually means he wants Eve to act like a grown man. Oni-chan more like children's way would say.
