Thorfinn is held captive and part of his ear is cut off but he doesn’t seem to care then Snake showed up and made Thorfinn fight back by surprise attacking him. Snake got Thorfinn questioning if he wants to live. #vinlandsaga

Such a great scene
In the light novel, Snake saved Fox from getting himself killed, because the moment Fox tried to slash at Thorfinn for real, his nature instinct will try to disarm Fox arm and dislocate Fox's neck.
PS 3/15: For those that didn't know, there was an QA interview with Makoto Yukimura, he stated that in the unpublished script LN at the studio, this scene that I mentioned did infact happened, but later revised for final published for the manga.
