  1. Mr. Chato I would like to pay for your food, coffee, or beer or anything you like…… I WILL GO TO TORONTO JUST TO KNOW YOU AND PAY THE CHECK

  2. Princess Leia is racist: she calls Chewbacca a "walking carpet," and doesn't give him a medal later. What does she have against furry Galactic Republicans?

  3. All these femininist activists miss the point that Star Wars is about a war fantasy set in the future.

How many great female leaders guided the troops during the Civil War? WW2? WW2? Even now, in Ukraine?

Men have fought and died for the freedoms woke feminists take for granted. For this, they're labeled patriarchal by entitled feminists who never faced hardship.

  4. Chato, this was insightful and funny. One point about making generalizations: I never even had my Barbie (well, Midge) attend a tea party, let alone my Super Heroes. I wasn't my toys but I had them do heroic things, kick butt, and win the day if they were heroic figures to begin with. I'll admit they were polite in their rampant violence. I'm neither male nor gay. Just a girl who imagined boys being heroic and girls helping them win the day, and loving them.

  5. Star Wars will always remain untouchable in the hearts and minds of true fans. There is one incredible original film called Star Wars, 2 fantastic sequel films, 3 prequel films to round it all out, a Clone Wars micro series, and the Clone Wars series seasons 1-6 to further flesh out a single line of dialogue from the original Star Wars film. There are also endless books, comics, games and other media outside of that. I'm lucky enough to have lived in the world where the only Star Wars that existed was the original film, before it was called A New Hope ( I was too young to know about the radio play at that time). That was a brief but special time. It has never been duplicated. The Star Wars world just felt so open, a blank canvas. Just because a company run by and geared towards a certain demographic has control of the name of a franchise does not mean they are "making Star Wars". They are making the same garbage they've always made and slapping a known brand name on it to try to sell it. This isn't new behavior at all for Hollywood. It's just the first taste for a few generations who thought these things were sacred and would remain in responsible hands. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you might get me to watch a show once, but that does not mean I support your message or work. The only true test is the test of time, repeat viewings, and the Disney material isn't even holding up in the short term. This is truly the era of completely disposable, forgettable so-called "entertainment".

  6. I respect the Rings of Power shills more than Star Wars Celebration attendees. The RoP shils at least got paid, but the Celebration attendees PAID to be there.

  7. Meh. You’re absolutely correct Chato, but for me the news regarding Star Wars doesn’t even register anymore. I heard about this Acolyte thing a few times in passing now. Never did my patriarchal brain ever consider to check out the plot or the cast. For me the new Star Wars ‘content’ has degenerated from something to be excited about, to a faint blip on the edge of the radar.

  8. Well, we are talking the same actress who agreed to play Anne Boleyn in that misbegotten tv movie, so we're probably not dealing with the sharpest stick in the woodpile…

  9. Disney has truly become the evil empire and is out of control. Unless we start to get vocal and NOT support this shite, nothing will change.

  10. Identity Politics aside, they're only into this because it's a career bump. And I don't mean just the actors; it's the producers, the writers, and some of the directors. It's a chore for them to take part in this series, not an honor. And this is why the IPs all feel like "Star Wars On Ice", like mascots are walking around in what is similar to what we loved but really it's some bored a$$#0le there just to get a paycheck.

  11. Oh no! You mean someone has non-fascist beliefs? You must be so offended!

How could anyone involved in a Star Wars project have non-fascist political opinions?

Why make all those movies, portray the Empire as the good guys, only to how an actress with non-fascist beliefs?

    Oh.

    Wait.

The Empire is presented as the bad guys.

    Huh.

    Imagine that.

Stop pretending to be Star Wars fans.

Those Star Wars stories were never supposed to be liked by people like you. These stories exist to inspire people to oppose people like you. If you were any kind of fan of these stories, you would know that.

  12. at this point I think they are going to continue making woke garbage until there is no more money left. It really will be the only way it can be stopped. The money runs out.

  13. Imagine taking a job that puts food on your table and elevates your status, then taking a big smelly dump on it.

Sneaky Chato with the LR t-shirt. The patriarch of the Métis people. 😅

  14. I, a man, get out voted every election. How is that patriarchy? I have lots of tea to sip on so I'll wait for the answer.
