  1. Unless we actually see progress examples, I don't believe half the stuff CIG say they have done.
Still no starmap for Stanton which is only one system and 3 planets
    Still no building blocks
    NPC still on chairs.
I call 🐄💩 on 80% of this " work done , coming soon, completed" rubbish

  2. I wish I could play. Not able to log in and get past the " Character Retrieval and Readiness" screen since the launch of 18.1. I did not know that you knew that there are still players unable to play. left behind so to speak still enjoy your videos though and wish I could see for myself.

  3. It's so cool to see a system in star citizen getting fleshed out. The next two systems i think would take this to a whole new level would be scanning/ data running and player markets.

I know data/ exploration gameplay hasn't been discussed in detail by cig but my imagine land idea is a player in an exploration ship could create a map adding scanned items including minable items (with metrics attached) to said map that could be viewed as a mini map and allow miners using it to select items in the map that would be highlighted while flying around. The map could be attached to a physical data containing item or a data ship's server and moved around. Then in a market place you could offer your maps for sale. Players looking to buy the map could view the mini map aspect of it and how recently it was created but not have access to the jump location, which would be unlocked on purchase of it.

To me this would make exploration a viable and interesting game loop and with changes to minable density it could become an integral part of the mining loop. Of course many things to balance, like you wouldn't want big orgs buying up all the data but i still think it could be made to work.

  4. Your so right , for me once I've got the ships I want and the money I need , what else is there . For me it's the crafting and selling my items from the mining that I've done , to try and get the best equipment and be know for great items that I've crafted.

  5. ok ok you have me onboard for the mining changes, it actually sounds healthy for the game and potentially a lot more fun but I dont think i will ever be onboard for not being able to insure my ship parts, that's a complete deal breaker for me

  6. Mining in other games have ruined it for me. I do not think I will ever mine in SC either but these improvements have an impact on other gameplay loops as well, so I am really excited! Once Tony Z and Quanta kicks off we have a game (besides netcode issues…).

  7. If the economics demand Quantanium is extremely rare, I wonder how Misc Odyssey will function in the future without specific long-range sensors to locate it.

  8. I'm sorry but if someone tells me I basically need to buy a throttle stick for something that isn't flying, I realize that maybe the game loop needs to be worked on. My #1 gripe with this game is all the people who just have a hard-on for being a advertisement board for sticks.

  9. If the computer can tell you the density and quantity then the computer should just automatically adjust that to SCU

  10. Croncy is a cheapskate who pays where as redmonsterSC is fair and balanced like a rising tide raising all boats.

Even banning a guy from talking about fair pay, just wow.

  11. I think a good addition to help new miners would be having the rentable prospector tuned for the minerals in the area where you rent it.
Or even have a few choices like a copper mining prospector and a iron mining prospector

  12. I stopped mining at the end of 2021 because of the mining changes, and the tedium of spending 45mins scanning for quant rocks. These changes are very interesting, I have no clue what they all mean yet, and I’ll be waiting on content creators to produce some high quality guides as my way back into this profession. It was such a badly needed overhaul, mining was ruined for me for the last 15mths.

  13. Commenting on MISC Prospector rear opening:

I've always heard this was intended to be an extractor to filter non-valuable yield out of your gathered bags.
