Thanks for keeping the conversation going Dave, btw your hair is gorgeous today. You look like a Hollywood star
Perfect. Nick's vile comments are actually giving UCAN some good publicity and ultimately helping their cause. So, playing into the concept of reality TV just fine – the conflict is what people what gets people clicking, amirite?
Hey Dave. Do you have videos 2+ years ago on here, I had a memory pop up of you featuring my song on here and I can’t find it and want to share it to help promote your channel as well. Thanks.
As long as it's NOT Better Help or ANY person/company connected with them
Nick is getting more and more comfortable talking smack about people.
Tch, I guess he forgot where he started. Umm, how many times you've been messy on ABC's franchise again?
I never got good vibes from Nick on the Bachelor and he’s seems to have gotten way worse. He seems smug, cocky, insincere, and narcissistic. I can’t stand the sound of his voice either. He really thinks he’s something.
I will say, I watch his podcasts all the time. I really didn’t see him bash suicide survivors/victims. I am one who have fought through suicide ideations and attempts and I was not triggered by his podcast. The past contestants were also talking about wages, but he was truthful when he said , this wasn’t a job, they are contestants and they at least got a stipend. Also why is it only season 2 contestants coming out? I’m just asking, not bashing anyone 🤷🏽♀️
absolutely agree with you & everyone else on this Dave, has Nick totally lost his mind? of course we need to do better on this!!! human rights & mental health support in reality TV!!!!!
Daniëlle thinks the whole world revolves around her and understanding for her mental health . No . She needs to see a shrink . Seriously. Plus her borderline is making him making fun of suicide which isn’t …
It sort of reminds me of the parent who is like 'well I was spanked as a kid, and I turned out ok', and they continue to parent in a toxic and outdated way. He obviously has some ptsd with his journey he hasn't worked through enough to be able to empathize.
I just feel sorry that Danielle married a gay dude
Yea I am glad this is being talk about. I truly hope for future season some good changes are made. Mental health is very imp.
At least the get paid more than me I use to make $600 every two weeks and now I’m making $900 every two weeks. And I’m a healthcare worker
IMHO, if you don't like the heat, get out of the pot. Nobody forced these people to go on these shows. If that narcissistic impulse compels you to expose yourself in front of millions, you take the risk to do so. Sorry, but that is life in the modern age. Stress is not a mental health crisis.
Love how you continue to put this story together. Thanks, and also love the east coast glow.
It’s idolatry. People need somewhere to put the anger and aggression they have accumulated from the pandemic. Nick Viall is discrediting the contestants because he experiences the value of this system and the outlet it provides for society. We really just need to stop watching this show. It’s public sacrifice.
"Personal insults happen when someone doesn't want to debate you on the merits of your issue." Words of wisdom right there IMO.
Nick’s goal is obviously to be a producer of one of these shows….
Scientist here, it * really * bothers me how Nick implied that people have no business questioning "the experiment" because it's a scientific experiment, and that because these critics aren't scientists (lots are), they have no authority to criticize. That's complete BS. First, LiB doesn't call it a "science" experiment, only "experiment" (which a lot of us scientists still take issue with because its misleading). Second, to corroborate the quotation Dave cited, in research involving human participants we have to go through months of ethics clearance with extremely detailed reporting on literally anything that could negatively affect our participants and demonstrate plans to mitigate risk, on top of clearly notifying our participants of any and all risk and our mitigation plans. We don't just ge to be like, "surprise! No water, no food, only booze. GL;HF!".
Can someone please post the link of the full podcast episode of Nick Vial in which he says this? I am having a hard time finding it on his page.
…just saying…Starbucks employees SHOULDN'T UNIONIZE….they ALREADY GAVE EXCEPTIONAL BENEFITS…PART TIME EMPLOYEES GOT HEALTHCARE! & TIPS + PAID OVER MINIMUM WAGE! WE SHOULD NOT ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO SOCIALISM! if u want socialism…go to Canada or Europe….or even North Korea
This doesn't surprise me at all. Nick sided with Shayne and actively blamed Natalie for how abusive Shayne was towards her. He's an asshole.
Thank you for posting and standing behind this movement. I love Nick V and watch all of his podcasts, but imo he’s off base on this issue. WHY does it hurt to support and have an unbiased advocate for reality tv members?! I’m proud of Nick T and Jeremy for making history. I support. 💪
my comment got deleted too!! I think they got caught or people were talking about comments being deleted or there were just too many negative to delete, but i posted the same comment the day after and it hasn't been deleted yet.
SOCIAL experiment. never said SCIENCE experiment.
An unsolicited opinion: Fame got to Nick's head and ego. The upgrade of his channel, being engaged to someone 18 years younger, once upon a time a bachelor, only going on podcasts that will boost his reputation. Oof, as a therapists I would not want Nick as a therapist. There is a lack of empathy towards cast members and a "know it all" persona that comes across distasteful. I stopped listening when I noticed Nick talks over people who seek advice on Ask Nick and just noticed his mannerism as ingenuine as he is reaching his "rise to fame".
I believe Nick has said in the past that you don’t know what you sign up for until you experience it. This concept really undercuts his argument. Mental health is not predictable, but it is treatable.
