I'm loving how the anime adds these scenes (Gardar's passing, Einar's family, etc.), it somehow fleshes out the story even more. Like damn, the manga made me disappointed for Arneid' sake that her husband died, but we barely knew him, showed up, caused some mayhem and died.. the anime however….

God I love this season – Fights and deaths hold more weight/meaning which in turn makes those moments so much more special when it does happen. Total contrast to the first season when fights were so rampant
As someone that read the manga before the anime and liked Snake, it's been a bit frustrating seeing comment sections simplyfing his character into "Cool, sexy guy who's just doing his job". Like, huh?? Enforcing slavery isn't the medieval equivalent to data entry. I'm suuuuuper curious if we had the same sort of plotline in a story about the Trans-atlantic slave trade if people would have such surface level takes…

Gardar's death reminds me of the ending of the Gladiator
6yrs of slavery but Gardar thought it’s been 8-9yrs. You lose track of time when torture is so severe. Also goes to show how much time it needed for his mind to break in such a way in comparison to how he was before.
