  1. Absolutely brilliant writing! I hate when a show makes me cry but I appreciate it so much at the same time and just let it happen.🥺🥺😢😢

  2. As a father , seeing gardar reunite with his son . Made me lose my cool man I just wanted to clutch my son tightly in my arms 😢

  3. Just fyi, Snake said he is a warrior of Miklagard. Miklagard is the nordic name for the city Constantinople. Constantinople was at this point in history the capital of the Byzantine empire, which was basically the continuation of the Roman Empire.

This leads me to believe the Snake was most likely a member of the Varangian Guard, an elite unit of the Byzantine Empire that was primarily composed of warriors recruited from the far away north of Europe. The Varangian Guard served as the personal guards of the Byzantine Emperors. That also would explain his exotic sword

  4. Snake's point is nonsense. His 5 men enforced a man to be enslaved. Gardar didn't kill innocents, they were all guilty. If 5 people try to kill me, I am in the right to kill them. Self defence to protect your life is always justified. Snake and his 5 men deserved to die.

  5. The best part gotta be how garnar said how he wouldn’t allow his son to be a warrior after everything he went through he’s wanting to end the cycle of violence

  6. This is frustrating, I was sure Gardar will play a key role in the fight against the king , it only made sense that his character was revealed as the king was making moves against the farm! yet he died! i feel that was a wasted opportunity to have him die a glorious death in the up coming battle!

  7. From a secular viewpoint, his wife's tears on his cheek allowed his brain to recreate this last moment for him. A beautiful sunny sky with the rain. Seeing his son again and how he imagined he might be. He died at peace held by his love while he held his son.

  8. For me the most emotional part is at the end when Gardar does the one thing most vikings didn't do, regret. This is even expanded upon later but in retrospect it makes it that much more impactful.

  9. As someone that's live a horrible life, seen things, people dying, traumatizing things. This episode hits so hard. Seeing someone go through the stages of death like this is portrayed so accurately. The adrenaline, the regret, the sadness, then the acceptance. Seeing someone live their final lives as a human being. These episodes have been extremely important to the story. What an amazing story this is.

  10. When Gardar was choking Snake, i really thought Arhnied was going to stab him to save snake, knowing at this point Gardar has sustained way too many injuries to survive. i think it would have been poetic and sad for her to ultimately end up ending the storm herself. Though with my way, we wouldnt have seen the softer side to Gardars prior life in his final moments, which was obviously the main thing this episode was building up to, and making him feel like he was successful after fighting for freedom was a nice way to end it all

  11. Gardar is such a beast. Was already on deaths door got stabbed in the chest woke up like a zombie and put snake to sleep. Fought to get his family back until he died. One of my favorite characters introduced this season.

  12. Of course she'd lie he got Snake on a death choke, idk if telling him that his son is dead will calm him down there.

  13. Vinland saga fans hate that this series is getting slept on in comparison to hyped shows but honestly it’s best it stays a hidden gem. The hate popular stuff gets by people who lack some ability to click with emotional stuff or plot beats gets fustrating. AOT community for example gets great animation and action with some good moral dilemmas to chew and all they do is fight off anti fans angry over things not going there way or misrepping the story to build hate. Popular things lead to people who a series just isn’t for too. Vinland is boring for people who not only just want action cause that’s not true but people who just don’t like their hype show emotional. All fair. Some don’t cry to tv and don’t care for story etc. All opinions. Just nice to have a positive community.
