That's incredible a complete Cracker Jack set or that exhibits complete set..😮 That Joe Namath RC seems like it should be worth much more..🤔😥 Love this High Rollers Chris..😍 Thanks for your hard work.. Take care..👍💕🔥👊
look up the barry halper collection… his collection was bigger and better than what the hof had til he sold off his collection
upper deck bought some big itemms from the auction
I could never understand a player giving up a World Series ring I’m sure they don’t need the money. Great video as always
Barry Harper was a part time owner of the Yankees and had the biggest memorabilia collection probably ever game used bats Jerseys autographs ect. I believe in 1999 Sotheby's sold his whole collection in a monster auction. The two book catalogue cost me at the time one hundred dollars. In the auction Mantle' game used glove was bought by Billy Crystal, other odd item sold was Ty Cobb's Partial denture. Worth checking out.
Barry Halper THE premier basbeall memorabilia collector in the1980s.
Welcome Hack Wilson! Now let’s see some more 30’s guys like Chuck Klein, Al Simmons, Ducky Medwick…
For your honorable mentions, no rules . If a spiderman comic or Pokémon card goes for a bananas prize, I think we’d all be curious to hear about it. We know how much Mantle cards bring in .
Re cubs ring. All cubs personal got on. An usher I do a tax return for showed me his . Does his bring in close to 30k?
Welcome, Hack.
Profesional Sports in North America are notoriously regarded as being primarily "Rigged" or "fixed" Predetermined outcomes, does it ever seem contraindicated to you to place so much energy and commitment into something that may be substantially Unreal?
Chris, do you know how much prices jump from say 2002-2012? Seems just wild to me that a psa 6 Gehrig went to 14,000 in 2012 and then this year another is over a million
Lous first name is Hank and Hacks first name is Lou.
I came to see pistol Pete #44 and Air Yordan #44 my favorites
You sound a bit better than before, keep eating those veggies. 💪💪🥕🥕🥔🥔🥦🥦🥬🥬👍👍
I’ve heard it all. A “Near Mint PSA 8” baseball. We’re the edges a little rough?
Great video!!! Thank you for sharing. Looking at the 1925 Exhibits I have a new name for my compression stockings… "My Henrys".
New microphone Chris? Sound quality is really nice in this video.
Wonder why Chapman has to liquidate his cubs world series ring. He's had some absolutely massive contracts, that's worth about what he'd get paid for a double header one year. A serious piece of history right there.
You owe it to yourself to learn more of Barry Halper and his collection (much of it auctioned by Sotheby's and a large chunk given to the BB HOF) as well as Woody and Richard Gelman and CCC in NYC…..

Jacob Ruppert didn't make a mistake by acquiring Ruth. Most historians consider the transaction to be one of his finest. The mistake was made by Harry Frazee, the short-sighted Red Sox owner who sold Ruth.
There are many myths surrounding the sale of Ruth, many of which have been debunked in the 100 or so years since the transaction took place. For those who may have an interest, SABR (Society for American Baseball Research) has published interesting findings on the topic.
Thanks – these videos are always enjoyable and informative.
Chris , Barry Halper's collection was considered the greatest in the world at the time. There was a vhs tape tour of his house. Was incredible. Showing my age 🤦♂️ … great work thank you.
Awesome work 😎👍
Thats crazy that Chapman still playing already sold his 2016 World Series Ring, Guy must be spending money large since he had to pawn off the ring.
Cool video Chris. Random question: One thing I have wondered about but never hear anyone talk about is why do some PSA slabs have a weird wrinkled plastic that just looks awful? SGC slabs always enclose cards perfectly with no wiggle room, but PSA, who is supposed to be the who’s who in grading, slabs tons of cards lose inside the slab and many with that awful looking plastic. Am I the only one who thinks they look like trash?
Definitely the good stuff!!!
That Crackerjack set was in the booklet that kids could buy from Crackerjack… doubt many of those survived… and Exhibits are 'generally' a very affordable way to get yesteryear stars at really low prices since they are a niche item…
Yeah! Y’all were Clowns alright, until y’all finally got pass Boston after taking L’s for several years😂…Then beat up on MJ til he bulk up and got revenge then y’all ran out the buildings like 😼… 🤣 Y’all bad alright!
I'd resub the 1925 exhibits Lou Gehrig
Dead Ball Era is still the best time in baseball 😎
Cool stuff. You should do a mile high auction high rollers as many of us get the catalog in the mail from psa.
I'm sorry but I am very surprised you didn't know Barry Halper. If you can never get ahold of the catalog for the sothebys auction I think it's two volumes and then a third volumes for the checklist or something but it's a incredible chunk of reference material. That I think any serious vintage collectors should own. If I'm not mistaken there was none cut strip of t20 sixes with the honus Wagner on it and I believe that the 1934 goudey number I think it was 1:36 or whatever that was replaced as I believe Lou durocher on? And that cards there but there is just incredible stuff in that catalog. I highly recommend it. And by the way I love your videos bro. Also if I'm not mistaken the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle number 311 is a triple printed card on the sheet. Nobody ever talks about that but I'm pretty sure that his cards printed 3 to 1 meaning it is three times as common is a regular 1952 Topps card.
Look at your old Beckett annual price guide – the photos in the middle are noted as “from the collection of Barry Halper”. He was a minority owner of the Yankees. He was not careful about the provenance of the memorabilia in his collection and a lot of that was found to be fake – but his card collection was unreal.
Even more than the home run record, Hack Wilson’s 191 RBI record always amazed me. How in the hell do you drive in that many men? Get a hit every time someone’s on base? It still befuddles me……
