  1. no no thorn is a slave not by choice after attacking Knut he was sealed for the master of Einar and now he is cutting trees for his master. That s why the old man searched thorfinn among the slaves because he knows that thorn is a slave

  2. After, askeladd's death thorffin lost his goal. So, when the slavery seller try to caught him, he did not put any resistance. now he became a slave because he has nothing to do.

  3. I’m pretty sure that since he tried to kill Canute when he became king and killed Askeladd he was sold into slavery as punishment by the guards and ended up on Ketil’s farm which is probably the best possible place to be as a slave

  4. King Sweyn(Svhen) of Denmark offered Askeladd a stark choice: the security of his motherland Wales, or the life of his master, Prince Canute(Can-oot). Askeladd's answer was immediate: He struck off Sweyn's head. The meeting of military leaders erupted into chaos after this act of regicide(the action of killing a King), but Canute recognized the play at hand, and killed Askeladd himself, thereby accomplishing Askeladd's aim. Canute immediately took the throne. But after witnessing the end of his father figure, Thorfinn was left empty inside. He was eventually sold into slavery to work on a farm.

  5. Translation Notes
    Hávamál
A poem found within the Poetic Edda, a collection of Old Nordic poems. The title translates to "sayings of the high one," and the contents of the poem are attributed to Odin. The Japanese translation, when not simply titled "Hávamál," is known as "the song of Odin" or "the proverbs of Odin." Hávamál is a gnomic poem, meaning that its verses are meant to serve as lessons or advice on customary topics, such as the laws of hospitality for both guest and host.

  6. Hope y'all enjoy this Farmland Arc. It's one of my personal favorites that I've ever read. It's definitely very different from season one.

  7. Just know that Thorfinn/Vinland Saga is considered one of the "Big 3" of seinen for a reason. And remember that S1 was just the prologue. This Season may be very unexpected, but trust me its about to be amazing.

  8. Damn, that Einar backstory with that music just hits different. I feel that this anime is in the right hands. And I'm ready to cry at so many upcoming scenes. I truly love this series
