WIFE?!?! | Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 13 Reaction

WIFE?!?! | Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 13 Reaction

Aww this episode was pretty lighthearted and wholesome for the most part. Fun of cute moments between Arnheid and Einar, Snake and the old man, and Thofrinn. But then we had that guy!! And my prediction was right about him having a connection to Arnheid in some way though I did not expect him to be her HUSBAND!! It didn’t even occur to me that Arnherid could be a WIFE! I’m shocked! What about my ship? Excited to get into that next episode. Hope you enjoy!

  1. What a nice and wholesome episode, i sure hope nothing bad happens and everyone is happy.
Also loved how the opening is a lot more intense than the last one, kind of similar to opening 1 and 2 mixed with a little bit of the 3rd one, fits perfectly since things are going to get a little more intense than the first 12 episodes.

  2. Yeah, Arnheid's situation is very… complicated. She's bound to Ketil, had a possibly blossoming relationship with Einar, and now her husband has found his way back to her

  3. For those who are interested in reading along with the manga, this episode adapted the last five pages of chapter 73 and all of chapters 74 and 79.

So this isn’t the first time Sverkel has collapsed while working in the fields (and Snake having to come to his aid), if one can recall from back in episode 6 of this season, when Ketil was trying to convince his father to come live in the same housing with the rest of the family, he mentioned how Sverkel had already previously collapsed in the fields once before.

  4. Can you see the other reason why Arnheid took to Einar? He and Gardar could pass as brothers. The reason Snake wants to sell the Bible is because books were extremely rare and expensive in the viking age.Thank you for you work in the medical field btw!

  5. Einar keeps taking L' s. dude can't catch a break….. looks like thorfinn is turning towards christianity , totally opposite of canute who started out as christian but later turned against God

  6. Einar's laugh at the table, was so good (contagious laughter I couldn't help, but laugh along). So wholesome how they felt free enough to enjoy dinner.

Damn enter the husband… who would've predicted this on top of Canute's schemes?!

  7. whats interesting is that snakes tummy being hungry because more than 2 meals were skipped(the old man likely never made snake skip 2 meals..maybe 1 at most or none) is what made him realize the old man mightve been down for the count…because its unlike the old man to let snake go a certain time without food. which speaks to the old mans kindness…the old mans kindness is also what saved the old man here…the kidness of his actions likely led snake to finding the old man on the field because something wasnt right.

Also snake sees everyone as deserving of respect. When his henchmen came to notify him of the escaped slave on the hunt, snake said that old master deserved to be killed because he mistreated slaves all the time

  8. FINALLY HES HERE LMAO this is the mark of the beginning of a new arc!!!!! Get ready things are going to pick up!! Also poor Einer life just threw a wrench at his plans 😭 as someone said below it is interesting how he looks very similar to Gardar tho soooo you’ll have to see how things develop in the next episode hehe the music for the OP and ED are once again phenomenal! They are doing this adaption justice!

  9. This passage that Snake read from the Gospel of Matthew really touched me. I think this is the core idea of vinland saga. This idea is also expressed in the discussion about love in episode 18 of Season 1. Violence only breeds more violence. And unselfish love begets more love. If everyone is willing to give all their love to others, then how can there be discrimination and injustice? In fact, in addition to the Bible, the ancient Chinese philosopher Mencius also proposed similar thought"兼爱(universal love)". I think this is the core idea that the author wants to convey
In addition, a little historical knowledge, books at that time were super valuable, because neither papermaking skill nor typography had been introduced to Europe. A book can only be made with a lot of sheepskin and hand-copying. Books as large as the Bible are very expensive. Generally only the nobility and the church were able to own a small number of books. So Snake might actually be trying to sell the book.🤔

  10. There's always that feeling during a quiet and tranquil scene that gives a sense of imminent danger. That's when Arnheid's husband arrived, bringing the Dark Clouds.

Einar: Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated? 🎶

  11. I appreciate your reactions and discussions of this series so much. You really always have a fresh perspective or unique take that keeps me watching
