It took me 13 episodes to realize how attractive Arnheid is.

Thorfinn listens to the bible to help understand what he should be looking for in his life thats why when it says “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” he reacts in interest so he’s learning and interested with it but doesn’t fully believe unlike Canute
For those who are interested in reading along with the manga, this episode adapted the last five pages of chapter 73 and all of chapters 74 and 79.
So this isn’t the first time Sverkel has collapsed while working in the fields (and Snake having to come to his aid), if one can recall from back in episode 6 of this season, when Ketil was trying to convince his father to come live in the same housing with the rest of the family, he mentioned how Sverkel had already previously collapsed in the fields once before.
The subtitles really spoiled a little bit of the surprise in the end of this EP.

I really thought Snake was just insinuating that he sensed Thorfinn listening to the reading of the Bible when he told Thorfinn he’d inherit the book from the old master.
In french traduction Gardar say " i must go to found THEM" not her, so it was more intriguing for us like " who is he and to found who", so the end of the episode was more like " ohhhhhh shit he is her hasband ". Traduction may changes the whole experience of an episode. But wath was the real traduction ? Her or them ?

In the manga, the scene of the slave running away appears much earlier in the narrative, and the scene of him arriving at the farm appears many chapters later.
I think the directors did a good job putting all of his scenes together in this episode, Mappa did a great job directing the episode.
