It's kinda unfortunate that this anime got kinda unnoticed considering the numbers of reactors and it's true that the plot runs with quite the cliche tropes…
But with better execution, in my opinion…
And this, frighteningly creepy scenes is so amazingly well done…
Satori ,in Japanese folklore are mind-reading monkey-like monsters ("yōkai") said to dwell within the mountains of Hida and Mino. Also Satori means (consciousness in japanese)
I'm not a big fan of Anime with themes of Reincarnation + OP Character, but this Anime caught me with its Ayakashi summoning Themes.
I'm a huge fan of Japan's folkloric creatures

It's rare to see anime with spiritual creatures ate someone brutally but didn't show the process of the feeding, just blood splatter and the beast back towards the camera

They tried to make that monster all edgy and predatory but the fact there wasn't a single drop of blood on its face at the end ruined the moment. All those noises and blood splattering yet Satori's mouth & chest aren't soaked red
He was supposedly gonna stab seika from atleast 5 feet but why does it feels like he was gonna stab him from 30 feet when he got restrained
i wonder, if he can summon the yokai from the other side (the Earth),does it mean he can "go back" by reversing the summon?
There are thousands more Japanese folkore, but this one is top tier
