My favourite completer pieces are relaxed style blazers and a sweater thrown over my shoulders!

Great video Kay! I will also wear a kimono or a duster as a third piece. They really elevate and pull an outfit together.
I gave up on denim jackets in the 1980s because they always seem the wrong warmth, either not warm enough or too warm. I've realized that I need a soft texture next to my skin if I want warmth. A fleece-lined or flannel-lined denim jacket would work for me, but they're rare, and it has to be a petite plus size, so it's fugedaboudit.
The way you styled your hair today looks adorable! The other was cute but I'm sort of a straight hair gal myself.
Great ideas that work for all ages & body types . Also , the completer pieces can be purchased at different price points – nice ! The cardigan , both in color & style, is an easy way to elevate the " running-errands-in-jeans " style which many of us seem to enjoy .

Kay, I'm trying to figure out if you are a "cool" or "warm" skin tone? It seems like a lot of these clothes are cool based.
I loved the denim jacket look. The cardigan is cute, too. I'm going shopping!
Shawl? Ruana? Poncho? Pashmina? Oversized scarf?
Unstructured wraps are, IMO, the most practical third piece for changeable spring weather. You can have them loosely draped for decorative effect without adding much warmth (I'm in North Carolina so I'll be planting my tomatoes in a few weeks), or you can wrap up thoroughly — in the same piece.
I even toss my wrap up over my head if what was supposed to be a beautiful day suddenly turns into "liquid sunshine" and I don't have an umbrella.
They also offer wonderful scope for creativity if you're crafty.
I always look forward to your videos and enjoy learning new styling tricks. However, I’d like to ask you to do a video about how you style your hair. Today’s look is especially attractive… classic and very flattering, but I suspect it takes some effort to get that sleek look. Would you please give us a tutorial on how you make that happen? And maybe another of your styles as well? But I’d be very happy just to learn your technique and the styling tools you used for today’s look.

My denim vest! It has survived years of clothing purges. I just love it with skirts and a simple top. I get tons of compliments on this jacket that came in a freebie bag of clothes from a friend.

I have a lot of denim jackets. In different colors. But I do have three blue ones. One cropped and two Levi denim jackets. I’m not sure how I ended up with two. One might have been my husband’s. But it’s mine now. I also have a lot of blazers. But I don’t wear them as often. I’m more casual. I do have a graduation coming up. And I’m still not sure what I’ll be wearing. But I will be taking a completer piece with me. Just in case the air is too cold. And it always is for me. I used to own a windbreaker I’m not sure what happened to it. But it did save me one night at one of my granddaughter’s softball games. It kept me warm when the wind was whipping. I think I may have had another jacket under it. That’s when we still lived in Ohio. And it was summer. I’m not sure why it was so cold at that game.

the cardigan and denim jacket ideas work well for me, also sweatshirts- but I wear lightweight zip front hoodies, never have I ever been into blazers. They don't suit my personal style at all and don't really do anything for my shape either. But you always look nice in them. Love the dragonfly earrings you have on!
As always, valuable information. My favorite completer piece is a jean jacket. I have 3 of them – dark wash, lighter wash, and white. I would add hoodies to my list of completer pieces. I prefer them to sweatshirts because they’re easier to take off when the temperatures get warmer during the day.

Love your ideas! I realize now I need to refresh my completer pieces to really make an outfit. I do however wish you’d change up stores a bit. I’m tired of seeing all the Talbots pants, which don’t do much for me. How about Chico’s, or even a department store or an outing to the outlets.

I share your joy in visiting needlework shops in Utah. I live in London, Ontario. I was able to visit both Pine Needles and Craft Center of Fine Stitchery three weeks ago. I definitely helped boost the Salt Lake economy. 😂 Next year, when I return to Salt Lake, my priority is visiting Shepherd's Bush.
