So yeah, in the original Trigun, that Derringer was Meryl's weapon, so older fans kind of already knew where Roberto was going the moment he had that with him.
So uh, fun fact among the manga fans (and some of the 1998 anime fans), a fair amount of us were sorta cool with them not putting in Milly because with them making Meryl so much more naive, a lot of us were like "oh this dude is here and not Milly because he is 100% dead"
