Thorfin didn't care about the world, but now he have curiosity, he is making things, growing things .
To note that in the manga, a cut off scene that happens is Thorfinn ASKING what friends are in the first place – it happens before Einar admits his friendship, but goddamn!!
There is a nice parallel between Thorfinn and Thors: in one of the first episodes, Thors was at forge trying to learn how to fix the kitchen stuff, just like Thorfinn trying to learn new things now. He finally started following his father's path.
Barely started the reaction and I already KNOW you're gonna love this episode.
This show is beautiful and only show by mappa that intrests me ,others are meh.

Such a big role reversal for Thorfinn's perspective. For 10 years he fought under Askeladd. Primarily moving from one farm to the next burning them to the ground. They'd stay a couple of days per farm before moving on leaving behind nothing but bodies and ashes where there used to be a farm. But now he's on the other side. He's experiencing first hand how much work a farm is. He's learning just how long and hard people work to build what can be destroyed in a day.
I love this arc so much
