  4. Dude… its like you said last week, this show cant keep getting away with it. I miss the happy days, every episode now it feels like my hair greys and falls out.

    Miri went away with that literal siren in the night.
    It's entirely possible the mother is in on the mission to get Sazuki and Rei back to fighting-condition and she's faking cancer to complete that mission. Like she's getting paid-off to get Miri away from them and then she drops her off at some orphanage or something. We can hope? Let's wait and see.

  8. This was such an amazing episode, but also a very heavy episode because of Miri leaving our boys. Which was so heartbreaking, but even more sad is that objectively speaking our feeling may not be as what is the best thing for Miri. As she also needs an mother in her life, and robbing her of that would just be cruel. Then her mother who have turn her life around, also do have the law on her side. So they can not really do anything legally speaking. But what I really liked about this episode was how much Rei was the one who did act reasonably. As he did hold back Kazuki from making things worse for Miri, as he said think about Miri. Because he thought about what that was best for Miri. And how Miri was not old enough to understand the truth yet. While that last day was so wholesome that I loved every moment, what that would come at the end of it was so sad😭 as they did leave Miri off with her birth mother.
    So all in all loved the moral grayness, and dilemma this episode did present

I dont trust her one bit and they didnt even question what type of job she is going to get to support the two of them and since shes ridden with illness and stated she doesnt have long to live that means Miri is going to be an orphan after a while and then who will take care of her then??? NAHHHH something doesnt add up, I feel like theres something brewing. As if someone is going to kidnap Miri and use her as a bargaining piece to get Rei to come back to the organization.

Oh the Mom's back…. i thought we won't ever see HER again after that particular episode I guess that's understandable for Kyu to inform Miri's Mom about the situation to keep Miri out of Conflict. This show keeps tugging at your heart and stabbing it . IT really feels like something drastic will happen next

  12. I agree when Rei said that Miri's wants matters too.. that is why the mom opened up their job because she knows that they cannot disagree on that..

    People cannot give their responsibility to raise their own child to another then comes back when they hit rock bottom or if the time is convenient for them.. The mom left miri for a year to kazuki and rei.. of course they will be attached to Miri.. they obviously changed in that 1 yr.. I feel bad for all of them.. Kazuki and Rei for losing the family they thought they have, for the mom, cause she is dying and for Miri because she has no clue what is happening, her see you tomorrow might never happen

  15. Never thought going into this that I would shed manly tears over two young dudes parting with their adopted daughter. Kinda has to be this way though, seeing how Kazuki's ex was killed because of his job- they are putting Miri and her friends at risk every single day.

  19. Its a its an enigma, inside of a conundrum, soak in a no win situation.
    I don't know anyone that would go through a situation like that, and come out smelling like asphalt.
    Bad enough that the biological mother showed up, with a critical medical condition, what made it worse is that she wants her
    daughter back, so that they can continue to live together, until her time has expired.
    If it wasn't for the issue with the hired hitman organization, and on top of that, they completed a job that involves killing her biological father,
    then maybe there would have been a solution that would have made everyone happy.
    Unfortunately, this is not the case.
    What's even worse, there is clearly no argument that they can bring up to counter the mother's wishes and cries,
    and the icing on the cake, several illegal stuff was done, in order to keep Miri happy, at the same time affecting their work.

    At the end, the mother needs her daughter, and the boys need to really think about what to do
    while killing their targets, or possibly another career path.

    Who knows???

    Heartbreaking episode indeed.
    Who's lifepath is worse Anya from "Spy X Family" or Miri's??

What the mother is doing is selfish, after giving her away she wants to come back now after Miri found an actual family that loves her, what’s the point of getting your kid attached to you again if you’re gonna die soon, it’s selfish, imagine how your kid would feel. After her mom is gone whose gonna be with her? Her mom isn’t thinking things through, she’s impulsively making decisions to make herself feel better at the end of her life, she’s not thinking about Miri.

  21. Man I’m sad and upset like I have mix feelings about the mother and wants to spend with her child so I don’t know I feel right now.

  23. I do think one direction left unexplored is the one character in the intro (he's in a few scenes and looks frantic). He might be a police officer and possibly could be someone Miri asks for help to find her papas?

  24. Don’t trust the mother one bit as something doesn’t add up as she told kazuki at the bar that she would hurt her cause wouldn’t stop crying.

  26. I feel it’s likely a Yakuza 6 situation. Miri is taken away, she may be put in a bad situation, but I feel by the end she’ll be safe. Rei and Kazuki kill Rei’s father, but also fake their own deaths to escape the organisation. Final shot could be Miri happily living her new life, while Rei and Kazuki watch from a distance

  29. her mother doesn’t deserve her and neither the show nor the characters were sympathetic to her and her problems (as kazuki said she can pound sand lol), thank god they presented it as the only way to keep miri out of the organization’s reach, that’s what hurts the most that they absolutely are the best option for miri but unlike her mother who wants miri to soothe herself kazurei prove they are the better parents once again by making this huge sacrifice. unlike her selfish mother they don’t have parents (shigeki doesn’t count) nor any other relatives to help them so all they can do is trust she can keep her safe (which once again proves they’re better bc she had parents to help her take care of miri but she still threw her out to the streets alone)

  30. What hit me the most was when Rei almost cried. I had already cried before that, but that moment took it to another level because of the journey we have been with Rei. However, after some thought I couldn't help but feel how it is far worse for Kasuki because it is clear how much he wants to be a dad again and how to him, in his mind, this would be the second time a child is taken away from him. This hits even more after the conversation he had with the sister. His behavior while overprotective is rooted from trauma and yeah wow that episode one callback with the cat and the scarf. The writing is just on point because this episode was painful, but so well-written.

  32. This is a first for me, but I think I'm going to have to drop this. Not because it's bad or any whiny ass elitist ego stroking reason, but because it's too good. Honestly, I can't handle it emotionally anymore. I need more escapism in my life, not more fuel for depression.

  33. Just finished the episode and I'm BAWLING where the hell did this show even come from?? I felt physically heartsick the entire episode, every single second of this show pours gasoline on my ovaries and sets them the fuck on fire.

    I feel like they are going to move mom in with the fam. I hope not but that's the direction I see it going.

    Also can we get some love for the OP? That tune is just so perfect for the couple-of-dudes-and-a-kid sitcom.

  35. Kyu has been getting "warnings" since Rei's birthday, which was in AUGUST!! If this is almost Christmas, that's 4 months later! Where has that time gone?

  36. Honestly, if Rei ended up crying I would have went out with him. It was heart breaking, but we know its for the best. But, like with the kitten, if Miri doesn't see them again she'll have Kazuki's scarf and the memories of them.

  37. 4:01 Bio-mom raising her kid with 3 dads is how Three Men and a Baby/Little Lady went down… I don't see it working as well here, sadly.

    I figured Kyu got in contact with Misaki — all his arguments make sense, this is probably the simplest way to keep Miri safe from Suwa. I'm just really annoyed by Misaki's purported motivations (also, lady could you not have reached out to your parents when you were struggling with Miri, rather than send her to *a known underworld figure*?).

    The bigger problem is that uprooting a kid again and again like this is traumatizing! Miri's gonna throw an epic shit fit the next morning when Mama explains she's not going back to her papas.
    Let's see what 11 brings. I hope it's finally Kazuki and Rei asking/telling 'cause they need to talk out some shit.

  38. We do still have 3 more episodes and it’s possible they still work things out. I do want to believe Miri’s mom means well and that it’s now possible they sort things out with the organization without worrying about Miri being harmed. Miri was also likely a target by the organization with how they were targeting her and Kazuki. There’s a possibility that they somehow leave the organization or Kazuki becomes a new different leader. Just curious if this will be a bittersweet ending. I mean maybe Miri’s mom will stay with her for awhile and they can still see her every so often without her being in harm’s way

  39. I agree on what you said. This episode is heartbreaking not because someone died or something but because this really happens on real life. Not the same as this scenario but there are children who suffers on this kind of issues. The anime perfectly shows what child custody is in real life.
    As far as I know some peole interview the Voice Actors regarding the ending of the anime and they said that the ending is very realistic so I'm expecting that in the end Kazuki and Rei will not take Miri at all.

  40. I’m glad that they revisited the Mom because I felt it was far too-convenient-storytelling for her to appear like Bad Mom of the Year. I felt for her a lot more than I think a lot of viewers did, because Miri didn’t seem like a traumatized, abused, neglected kid so I figured Mom wasn’t all bad and horrible but she was probably an alcoholic and she was being p*mped out by an abusive boyfriend so in my opinion she was doing Miri a favor getting her the heck out of there. That being said I don’t think that completely cutting off her relationship with her Papas makes sense. I like you kinda hope that she is really terminal which sounds mean but it would give her time and closure with her daughter and time for Rei and Kazuki to find a new line of work. I know some are speculating that the Mom has been paid or is acting in kahoots with the Organization. I hope this isn’t true because if she once again proves herself to be an unloving mother then I really will be done with her as a character and think of her as a genuinely awful human. So either she perishes or they coparent. That’s what I want to see.

  41. Both sad and angry at this episode of Buddy Daddies. And I'm not buying what this woman was selling. The way she laid everything out w/ her man left her, lost her job, lost her singing voice, and diagnosed w/ cancer. I think she forgot the part where Truck-kun hit her dog and issekai it to another world where he became an omipotent Hero King who likes doggie treats.

    No concrete idea of where to go, or what to do. Just trying to get Miri out of there. With her meal ticket six feet under, I think she was paid off to care enough and take Miri back. I think her true colors be revealed next episode. The only way I think they could have a way out of this is if Rei takes over his dads organization entirely so then there's no opposing threat.

  45. DAMN!!! THE TEARS!!!!Honestly I didn't expect such a heavy ep but when I saw the mother in front of the daycare I knew things were not gonna be fine. I think Rei is gonna do something, I have a feeling he really changed and doesn't wanna go back to his previous numb life; maybe him and Kazuki decide to give it a try and go against the organisation/kill the father?

  46. i try to be sympathetic to the mother but SHE MAKES IT SO HARD 😭 she wasn't even willing to compromise on anything and as soon as rei brought up how what miri wants matters to she immediately brought out the threats! If they weren't stuck with the issues with the organisation I wouldn't accept them giving miri back to her, but because they're actively being followed and threatened… i hate it but it makes sense. my heart is crying but my brain understands 😭😭😭
