They experimented on the independent, the manga is a lot less ambiguous about what the researchers did to her
i havnt been able to find ep 11 anywhere, can someone send me a link to watch it?
We're about to witness the July incident and I am absolutely ready for it
I think the most unsettling part about the previous independent is that it said that she was still alive
I never watched the original Trigun until after I started watching Stampede, my reason was actually cause I kept getting videos about the dub and loved it. Having seen all 26 episodes and the movie I do see some resemblance and differences. I understand why people were on edge about Stampede but also I don't see the old Vash and new Vash as the same person. If anything the og Vash feels like he'd be a older brother to Stampede Vash. Like the og twins would be the new twins older brothers as if they were a set of 4 brothers. I see similarities and also the differences between them like of instead of Wolfwood dying it's Roberto but for all we know Wolfwood and Meryl can both be dead by the end of next episode. What Nai is doing is different from Knives.
It's like a alternate universe of the old Trigun 😂
I think because he's a Plant and not a Human, Nai considers himself to have nothing to do with humans. He also thinks that Vash and he have conflict because Vash got basically poisoned by humans. The problem also is that he wants to make his people independent but Vash's solution is not cohabitation it's just letting things stay the way it is. Even Meryl wants the plants to stay without a soul simply because humans can't survive without them. It's a problem where the Plants are enslaved to the Humans and now the Humans can't survive with them, and you can't free the Plants because the humans need them. But that makes everything human centric. There is never any one advocating for the plants other than Knives himself.
I also feel exactly as you do, to be honest, I've felt that Nai's in the right and has been for a while. Vash has never been one of the main reasons I like Trigun and this series makes that even more apparent. I almost feel that everyone of Nai's observations of Vash is right.
Great analysis. I'm thriving to know how the series will solve the enslaved/slaver plant situation. Nai says Vash protect humans for guilt and cowardice, not love and bravery. I think this layered feeling apllies to Nai as well, he hates humans more than he wants to free plants, that's why he won't look for another way.
If Stampede kept the manga design, for the Plants. The whole putting souls in the plants will become more of a wielder visual experience.
"Like preggers beautiful angel like beings"
THIS ANIME IS A RIPP OFF FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST
KNIVES IS A FATHER ARROGANT TRAHS
Vash has not met Legato yet so that’s probably another reason why it’s not ending.
I think the differences between Knives and Vash's ideals are more intricate than you would think. Knives hates humanity and wants to show Vash that they are detestable and expunge Rem's hopeful ideas out of him. He doesn't want them separate, he wants them gone entirely so he can have his brother back on his side. Vash isn't ignorant to the evils of humanity or thinks that using the plants is ok he just trusts that with perseverance and kindness Rem's idea to terraform the planet can work. The problem is Knives has found his way to solve the problem while Vash has not. Not to mention Vash being a pacifist puts him in a position where no one wants to trust his cowardly ways, obviously Knives seems like he's out here to get things done and he has. Personally I think the story is only half done to give Vash a reason to grow up and actually find an answer to rebuttal Knives, we'll see if that happens.
Knives is really challenging vash's ideals. I like that knives critiques vash's pacifist ideals. Though I wish there was more critique on knives part cause he's also hypocritical by his actions of attempting genocide to humans under his goal to save plants. He really isn't any better in how he treats humans. Both vash and knives are extremes and I'm hoping to see more development and trials on knives and vash.
