Star Citizen: Did You Know Call for Pad

Did You Know? That in Star Citizen 3.18 you can call for a Pad or Hangar with the Alt + N keys?
Holding the N key above a pad will also trigger an assisted landing!

  1. Since 3.17, holding N is almost mandatory for landing the Prospector or MOLE when they're full of quant.. In 3.15 and .16 landing wasn't too challenging if you were slow and careful.
However in 3.17 if you weren't perfectly level and didn't feather your way down just right, you'd erase all your hard work.

Also so far in 3.18, landing requests at the ATC don't work at all and you're more than likely going to have to get yourself impounded, but alt+N will be really handy for once they get that fixed!

  2. ive never used assisted landing but i didnt even KNOW about alt + n until maybe a month ago??? i would always just use the ship comm menu, and recently found out that some people go all the way into the mobiglass 😂😂 coming from someone who’s been playing since ~2015 lmao

  3. Just don't try auto land with some'n bigger then the hanger.. assuming they haven't changed it, your ship will try to 360 so it faces outwards.. how to get stuck and possibly lose the ship and anything in it and yourself. lmao.

  4. Careful with assisted landing, it may cause instant ship destruction. Can also be used for ships with docking collars. But if you have the left port aligned on the 890j instead of the right one (and vice versa) the ship will have no mercy as it turns around, scraping the extended docking collars of the station across the hull and causing major damage.

  5. Also, so long as no one has requested it you can land on any pad and refuel/rearm/repair without requesting a hangar and the process taking 4 millennia

  6. Yeaaa. Don’t hold N for an assisted landing. It worked well when everything was landing pads. But now when your in a hanger you get spun around like a rectangle inside a slightly larger rectangle. And start bouncing off the walls. And you need to be so close to the landing pad in the first place that you might as well just hold down the down button. As it will be a safer landing experience
