I dip my fries in milkshakes all the time! My brother used to do it so now I do, I never knew people thought it was weird until recently 😅 and of course great reaction to a great wholesome episode. I’m afraid for what’s to come though

Finally a new Buddy Daddies episode and new reaction from you guys!! I was having so much fun at the way you guys ranted about the night goggles lmao. It just proves how much research has gone to this silly little show.

Also, Kazuki in his dramatic mother mode is hilarious. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! Now the waiting game for the next episode!

Honestly had a blast with this video, always nice to see parents talking about it, whether on a good or rough day, better than sugar coating to feel everything is okay all the time lol cracked up on the night vision goggle so hard with how relatable it felt.

Nice video as always and hyped for the next one.

Guessing they have the field day on Sunday so there is a better chance for parents and older siblings to attend, especially the ones who would normally be working for long hours through weekdays. It would be especially important to younger children to have their families there to support them.

We normally had them on weekdays too, counted as school sports excursions, but it did hurt when seeing people with their families to support them but your own couldn't attend due to work or other weekday commitments. (At least the Twilight Sports Carnival helped lessen that blow, still on a weekday but parents who worked 9-5 could actually attend.)

This was definitely a calm before the storm episode like the zoo episode was before the ones touching on what family meant to Kazuki and Rei with connection to their pasts, so let's all be ready together!

Your cat's cameo was adorable, cheeky kitt focusing the booty on camera!

Another great reaction!

I just found your reactions today and I love them! I love your guys' input and I cant wait to see the next one!

(Your night-vision rant reminds me of one of my dads rants about inaccurate hunting in one of the Hannibal episodes.)

As for weird food combos I have a few. Chicken and honey (although honey makes my head hurt now so this has phased out), fries and milkshakes/icecream is pretty common where I live, and creamcheese on hotdogs.

Japanese culture tends to involve not having a lot of free time to yourself. They are often at school or work 6 out of the 7 days a week, and often you can be there ALL DAY. It's not unusual for workers to constantly work 12-13 hours a day because you're not supposed to leave until your boss does, even if you're technically done your work, as it makes you look lazy. They often look approvingly upon workers falling asleep at their desks means it means they are working hard (when in reality it means they are overworked >.>). Then, even when you're done work, you're often expected to go out and have drinks with your boss and co-workers. They tend to treat co-workers more like an extended family unit because you spend so much time with them there. It's a very collectivist culture.

Students will go to school and are often also required to be a part of afterschool clubs, which they take very seriously and are given budgets to manage and responsibilities and such to prepare them for the real world. Many schools often also get students to help in janitorial work as well for this reason and to have more respect for where they study. So students often lead very busy lives as well. I could be wrong on this one, but I seem to remember them also not having such long summers off, like I think they get about a month rather than several. It's why often in anime you see students talking about seeing each other after summer break, which seems like a long time to North Americans and weird for friends/romantic interests, but for Japanese that's really just a few weeks. They just generally go hard as a culture, working/studying all the time as their cultural ideal is really devoting oneself to whatever you work on.

So yeah, Japanese life doesn't often give you a lot of days "off", or at least traditionally it hasn't. I imagine as time goes on things change, but that's why Field day on a Sunday might not be very unusual as it might be the only day a week families have off from work so they can participate with their children.
