Yo casi no conozco el trabajo de Junji Ito hasta que vi el anime y la verdad para mi el anime si me gustó pero esta comparación ya entiendo porque varios dicen que no le hace justicia al manga
I like both tbh. Some look better in manga, some look better in the show
The anime honestly flopped (again). It will sustain the true Junji Ito fans until the Uzumaki anime from Adult Swim. But like, the manga is just the surperior one, having the more graphic and actually creepy scenes (panels). The anime never caught the thing that made the original mangas scary.
The sad truth is that no one can replicate Junji Ito's style. The little intricate details and shading he adds to his drawings are what make his stories all the more freaky and nightmarish.
