What separates Miri from Anya is that Anya, due to her powers, doesn’t really act too much like how a kid would actually act. She behaves very well and doesn’t throw almost any fits while Miri is just in her own little world and acts however she wants without thinking of anything like how an actual kid would act. Miri is what Anya could have been if Anya hadn’t gone through whatever she went through to get her powers.

1) 2 guys who just lived by themselves only thinking about this line of job, they are oblivious to the kid being only 4.
2) he's persona background created is a single young dude, not a father. Plus he should have not been outside the security room.

Maybe it's because I'm comparing her to Anya but, that girl seems to have no thoughts or awareness. I get that she is a kid but even kids get scared in certain situations. It is like the difference between a child character and a child plot device. I still enjoy the show.

With how unbothered Rei was at being picked up and carried away by Kazuki I have a very important question that needs answered: how many times has such a scene happened??
As to Miri being faster than Kazuki, Rei did say he really sucked at playing hide-and-seek which was basically tag around his entire house.

And yeah, I thought Kazuki could have used the "oh I brought my daughter with me to work and she had to use the bathroom" excuse too but then again, he was already suspicious standing there alone when in fact he should have had someone keeping an eye on him.

He couldn't say she's his daughter because that would put her in danger if the bad guys were to live and try to get some revenge over Kazuki.
He said last episode that this job will probably get them killed one day or another, so they didn't want to bring the cat in. Now they've brought a kid, which is somehow even worse, so they can't afford to call them their "daughter" or for her to call them "Papa/Uncle", cause that'd make her a target.
That's also why they'll try to find the real mom.
This episode was more a "This is how bringing a kid into your life can turn it into a mess", but she'll obviously get a nanny or go into daycare or whatever other solutions there are.
Finally, about the bad aim of the vilains this episode, that was solely for comedic purposes.
Have you seen how badass Rei is ? And how Kazuki just lifted him while Rei continued shooting at them ? XD
I screenshoted that picture in the ending too. 🤣 So cute. Especially like you mentioned because of Rei holding Miri. He will get fond to her too. 🥰
So, this Anime is fun and nice, but I don't want to expect that everything will be realistic. Some scenes are very much exaggerated. But to your points, there are some explanations.
Point 1: Even if you let a kid pee before the trip, doesn't mean she never must till the end of the trip, especially since we don't know how long the way to this house was.
Point 2: Kazuki can't say, she's his kid, because at that moment he was in an area, where he don't belong. He had taken down the guard before to get there! He shouldn't be there! So he was cought trespassing, so he couldn't act like anything was fine.
when i realized that the apartment they live in belongs to Rei i was like "and you let Kazuki throw the cat out of YOUR PLACE???" like if the cat was there Miri could've been playing with it and they could've get things done 😭
Dumb and illogical things aside this is pretty fun to watch and it defied my initial expectations of it being gaybait version of SxF
We know from synopsis that Rei has been trained to be assassin since he was child so that might explain some of his quirks and deadpan personality, but I do wonder what's the story behind Kazuki and his flashback family. And Miri is proper hyperactive 4yo xD only thing baffling about her is how the hell did she manage to get as far as she did and still end up at right place where her real dad was, but let's not think too hard about it. This show ain't for that xD
