Disappointing gesture by Ardie who is suppose to show leadership. There'll be more to come on this matter. Hurricanes management and Ardie will need to turn this around and put it bed quickly before the media have a field day this week with it.

Second week in and it already looks like the ref has forgotten that he's supposed to speed up the game. Its back to normal already. Clearly the Hurricanes were the better team but did themselves no favors. Never seen a player get a card for pulling someone out of a scuffle. A player was in a scuffle on the ground, got pulled out, and started another one with Savea, and Savea is sent off?! That doesn't add up in my books. These commentators don't think before opening their mouths. No one knows what was said to Ardie to illicit such a gesture, which wasn't on, but for all we know it could have been a racial slur or offending family. Then later on in the game, after the gesture is replayed, one commentator states that thats why he was sent off – the gesture! Poor game by all parties.
I was expecting one hell-of-a fired up Savea when he came back on, but i guess they gave him a couple sleeping pills at half time to prevent that scenario. He was even polite to the ref! When i'm pissed at someone, i don't let it go, especially on the sports field!
Your be mistaken at times if you thought this game was played in wellington going of the crowds reaction everytime the hurricanes scored

Savea should have been red carded. He got a yellow and then threatened another player with violence, showed him he was going to slit his throat. Let's be honest here if that was a South African player it would have been an international incident and the player would have been banned for six months. Of course the All Blacks players don't get special treatment right? If there are no repercussions and if I were a Super Rugby coach I would announce at a press conference that I had instructed my players that threatening their opponents with physical violence was okay and that they needed to show the throat slitting gesture at every opportunity and let's see what happens. What a fucking joke.
Not gonna lie, Ardie kind of a tool for the random throat-slit gesture he done.. I'm a kiwi so I'd love to defend him but just seemed a bit over the top from him and dick-ish
