  1. the blue and red lights in the back are so unintentionally funny when they stick out of some characters nose

  2. Even though we know what Ketil's doing to Arnheid within the context, in the manga Arnheid was naked and felt more.. gross and sad when reading it? Which is not a complaint since I don't want to feel that way again but hits home on how weak hearted man Ketil actually is, he has kindness but his kind attitude was driven out of fear instead his pureness

  3. Arnheid seems to care for the master to some extent, likely knowing this is as good as it gets for a slave, but is still probably depressed that she's most likely trapped.

Rock and a hard place. I don't think she hates the master and wants good for him.. but also doesn't want to have to be the person that is locked in to make it good for him. This whole season feels like we're just waiting for a catastrophe and I worry she won't live past it

  4. There are a few ways to pronounce the noun confid*a*nt depending on your accent and both of the ways you said it are totally fine as long as you don't pronounce it exactly the same way you pronounce the adjective confid*e*nt in your accent.

  5. Thing, THING
The Old Nordic word "thing" meant an assembly of clans and tribes to make political decisions, air of grievances and disputes, and elect kings. The word is actually the root of the English word "thing," which eventually encompassed not just the original meaning of "assembly," but the general definition of any object. Interestingly, this linguistic shift from "assembly/ meeting" to "object/thing' can be seen in words from a great variety of European languages, whether the root was Nordic or Latin.

  6. I actually can't stop smiling over seeing how far Thorfinn has come already. I'm just watching the episode and can't help but point at the screen, "Ah look at him!" I love it.

  7. Keitl's kindness has his limits. He could NOT ask Thorfinn and Einar to work for free for years on end, since there would always be the option of NOT using slave labour altogether. He could choose to NOT value his reputation over the wellbeing of these 2 children who only stole from him because the breadwinner of their household vanished and they would otherwise starve to death, given that their mother is sick. And ultimately, he could choose to allow Arnheid the possibility of leaving him but the episode ultimately answers Einar's question: Keitl is not giving her the same deal he's offering to Thorfinn and Einar…which means Arnheid is likely going to remain his sex slave until she dies.
