  2. Canute killed askeladd in the end of season one thorfinn never got his revenge and he kinda in a weird way looked up to askeladd as a father figure which is part of the reason why thorfinn feeling the way he does now.

  3. I don't understand why people are hating on this season. Yeah, it's not as action packed as last season but the story telling is sublime, and imo, it's strongest aspect.

    If y'all want fights non-stop go watch My Hero Academia or something.

  5. Thorfinn's selfawareness and Sverkell's "If you want to be reborn, than empty is the best way to be" are the highlights for me on such a great episode. And next week we got THE climb from hell 😱😱, it's gonna be so great

  6. No lie I remember reading the manga and taking screenshots of the old man’s bar to Thorfinn and Thorfinn punching that dude. It was a full page panel, that shit was so nicely written and drawn.

  12. This episode had me wanting to SWANGGGG on ‘emmmm. 🫠😡 They don’t realize what this man can do BUT is restraining himself. But not gonna lie, seeing him get busted in the face gave me such pleasure 🤭

  14. Literally the first time watching this guy and i skip to him saying that he doesnt remember if thorfinn killed askelaad or not. So dissapointing. Never coming back to this channel again and i recommend that to others aswell.

  15. Why is this show so damn good?!? Literally had me tearing up too! And also the fact Thorfinn realized he also saw Askeladd as his 2nd father. Hate turned into kind of an f-ed up love for his 2nd father. For sure rewatch S1's last episode to regain memories on Thorfinn and Askeladd's relationship. Beautiful and sad stuff.

  16. I knew something was gonna happen with Thorfinn as he was too quiet.

    The "falling into the hole," I really hope Thorfinn doesn't go into a fugue state. Like in Moon Knight when Mark would come back to himself and there'd be destruction everywhere. If that happened to Thorfinn then everybody dead. 🫣

  17. Yes, agreed, this is a great season. It's a maturer season, a season of self-reflection, where Throfinn has to look inward, come to grips with his past and uncover who he truly can become. Change is never easy.

    This season would resonate with viewers who've had to take a hard look at themselves, their actions, the consequences of those actions, including the people/lives they've affected, etc.

    Being honest with oneself and taking accountability for one's actions is not an easy thing to do, by any stretch of the imagination. I think that's something those with a shallow or a non-reflective life experience might not easily grasp.

    But just keep living, life has a way of becoming a mirror for us all, ever challenging us to choose to change and improve or remain stagnant.

  18. Kinda sad Ace of diamond is on patreon cuz it's my favourite series along with Vinland. You always do a good job of understanding whats going on and all the character stuff. The adaptation is good but inconsistent sometimes. and Wit is still better. Good enough tho. nothing to complain about
