  1. I love how Kazuki didn't lie to Miri about what kind of person Rei's dad was while also holding off on the gory details. It really feels like it's expanding on what he learned about trusting his kid back in episode 6. And Miri's line about her mom looking happy but sad while she drank was so perceptive of her. With last episode being about Kazuki and this one being about Rei, next week might put more focus on Miri and Misaki's relationship.

  2. Friend why do you want to analyze everything? Can't you expect a second? With your analysis you spoil the entire reaction. Better enjoy the chapter and then think. I are stressed to see how you stop the chapter at all times.

  3. Thank you for another great reaction, i really enjoy hearing your thoughts especially from you both having similar experiences it makes for an interesting added perspective! I don't live in a country with guns so how I interoperated it was probably different but I think that assassin guy thinly meant "Guns exist to be shot, so I will use them to shoot and kill" the same way you use a car to drive, I think he'd 100% become a killer no matter what industry he went into 🤣🤣🤣
The way he speaks and the things he does reminds me a bit of some cartels and some of the things they do/videos they make.

  4. The talking is because they know each other, and as you said, necessary for character development. Note that every other kill that Rei had, he was no talk, all shoot. Just ran right in there, fired, done. Because they had no prior attachments. Now he is being sent to kill his mentor, who had betrayed the organisation due to love, while Rei has been learning how to open his heart to Kazuki and Miri. In that moment, he and his mentor are basically on the same page but Rei doesn’t quite know it.

  5. hey, this is out of context but i would like to see your reaction to vinland saga,it's a great show,it has politics and stuffs around that

  6. This was such a treat of an episode. And as always, I love you guys' input on these scenes especially when you tell us about your experiences with your own kid, he seems like a sweet boy! Already looking forward to the next ones. Great job, guys! <3

  7. Sorry, but you can separate knife and gun very easily. Knife requires close up fighting. You need to put yourself in danger and you feel what you do. Gun can be long range. You can disassociate yourself from the results mentally. You can fire from safety. Unless you have good training, you are just as likely to hit someone other than the one you are aiming at.

And most of all, you cannot have mass murder with a knife. You know the number of school shootings we’ve had in the last 30 years? None. Count them. Zero (cross fingers this remains so). Not even our police carry guns except for special units. Want to know how many murders we have by our police? They are trained to de-escalate.

You have a soldier’s view. You are trained in weapons handling and know how to use them correctly and with a proper respect for safety. But you also would not use your weapon unnecessarily. You also have combat training, I presume you are also efficient bare handed, and know how to keep your head in a crisis. But this is not the same for most people. Yes, it’s true that people kill people, and if someone is determined to commit murder, they will find a way. But by god, guns make it easier.

  8. I think the idea here is that the target is his equal (he’s his trainer) so it’s not going to be such an easy kill. Plus, he doesn’t really want to kill him. Also, it’s anime, so we’ve got to have a lot of running around looking cool.
