  1. I still can't believe how stupid Sweyn was, pushing Askeladd into a corner like that, trying to make him choose between killing two things he loves, as if Askeladd doesn't always have another choice of who to kill instead. And now Canute and Thorfinn are bonded by blood, the blood that Canute drew, the blood of Thorfinn's adopted father who he only just realised was a father to him, and Canute's blood that Thorfinn drew cutting his face.

For more on Artorius, you can just google King Arthur. But don't bother with any of the movies or TV shows. It's one of those British legends which they always get wrong because the folk tale is so simple, and modern writers can't deal with a simple legend about resistance against colonizers. That includes Geoffrey of Monmouth's version of King Arthur which is also a turd. They always make a mess of Robin Hood as well, turn it into nonsense about diversity and representation and neopaganism and whatever else instead of about social bandits resisting the brutality of feudalism by robbing from the rich to give to the poor.

  2. There’s consequences for everything in Vinland Saga, I love the realism and the messages you’ll really understand when you see thorfinns future for that quick bad decision at the end, glad you loved S1!

  3. I was so hyped for this one. That was one of the most tense moments I ever experienced in my 18 years watching anime. Love your reactions as usual, keep it up! ♥

  4. What are you doing react to classroom of elite uts one of the best and famous anime series react to it it's death note level series

  5. The second arc (season 2) is nearly flawless IMO, there are so many characters who get developed and have their own time to shine. Yukimura is a genius

  6. Thorfinn and Askellad's relationship is very complex. I don't think it's a father, son relationship, but Thorfinn was fixated on Askellad for 11 years, so there was something there. I think I've said it before but episode 10 is a really good episode to look back on.

  7. I love this final episode of season 1, thanks for reacting at it you are great. Farewell Lucius Artorius Castus. great character

  8. Beautifully sad how Askeladd had the father figure of two of our main characters in Thorfinn and Canute killed and the one going after him for revenge is the one left empty when he doesn’t get to kill him yet the one who wasn’t aiming for a duel of sorts was the one who killed him and became the king due to Askeladd killing the king before hand, therefore them being like polar opposites of their current fate in which one doesn’t have a purpose in life anymore Becuz Thorfinn only aimed for killing Askeladd while the Canute rules a nation giving him all the purpose to carry on living. Amazing characters development and close to the season.

Also Askeladd single handedly made Thorfinn and Canute the murders they are, Thorfinn having to learn to kill and fight after being taken by Askeladd when he got Thorfinns father killed and how Canute had to kill Askeladd when Askeladd killed the king Becuz him killing Askeladd one over the people present witnessing which made him the king.

  9. Such a beautifully written story. Askeladd's last words were for Thorfinn to finally find peace after living in hatred for years. Askeladd might be a fking bastard and a madman — hate him all you want, but his death did not go to waste, and it resulted in the rise of a highly respected king, and a new beginning for a man to find the path to become a true warrior.

Also, I loved how these two ladies just went speechless! 🤣 VS has become one of my favorite shows of all time.

  10. "Are you going to die? You?" I was in shambles. Can't even describe what I felt when I heard that. I was already emotional before that but that line really did me in.
