Hello everyone! I am back with another episode of Vinland Saga Season 2. I adored this episode. Einar is so good for Thorfinn making sure Thorfinn and him get what they want and need and asking for what they need. This episode taught us a lot. One that Ask and you shall receive (but you have to make sure to ask the right person). Having a good enough person in your corner is worth more than gold, they will always have your back. And we saw the dynamic between Keith and his father Sverkel. Sverkel doesn’t seem to respect the way his son runs the farm and how he does business. I am so curious about Sverkels philosophy and how he used to run the farm.

Listening to your discussion portion is like a free therapy session. I always look forward to watching your vinland reaction after every new episode comes out. This was such an amazing episode, seeing thorfinn slowly taking very small steps one after one is so satisfying and emotional to watch after all the things he has went through. This story is so beautiful and important , I'm so excited for you to see the rest of one of my all time favourite arcs in any show.
As a warrior, thorfinn had no love for his 'job' and no respect for his peers.
As a fledgling farmer, we're starting to see him get some appreciation for the work, and some respect for those that do it. And when it comes to role models, there's no one better than a seasoned old veteran who's been a farmer his entire life.

Interesting post reaction thoughts, especially "the roots metaphor". You really find so much meaning in these episodes and much to relate to.
All the things Sverkel is saying about his son's ways, draws a parallel with Canute… who has to do ugly/backwards things in order to build his "paradise on earth", use the crown's power/fear to conquer allies before building a place where people will prosper & be free.
This season is awesome!! & I knew this was gonna hit the way it is because the manga arc is amazing👏🏾. It highlights the struggle to change and grow so well….couldn't agree more that Thorfinn and Einar are a perfect pairing too. You can already see the idea that Thors stressed in the first season that, "A true warrior needs no sword." Thorfinn is fighting his internal demons all the while having to contend with being a slave. Your discussions after you react to the episodes are so good toooo! From the interviews I've read, you get exactly what the author was trying to highlight with this series. Keep it up Imon✊🏾⚔
Makoto Yukimura is a genius, this episode feels exactly like the manga if the next 3 are this good your in for something special. If anyone curious Mappa posted a 6.5 mini episode that was pretty good, not two important but I liked it (don't know if its canon).
The one word I’d use to describe this arc is “beautiful”.
