Probably the color of your granite covers the rabbit poop. Stainless they can see everything so no guessing for them. I wish I could get stainless steel, butcher block and a marble counter tops for my kitchen. When I sell the house the next owner if not a baker/pastry chef. Will look at my kitchen with multiple counter tops think the owner was being cheap. For me I can make cakes stainless steel, bread on butcher block and chocolate on marble. Chef dream kitchen 🤣🤣
I wonder if it's a weird side effect of all those tiktoks of random people tossing stuff like nacho cheese and canned meat all over their countertops then scooping it up and insisting it's 'incredible' for shock factor 🤔 they should be able to figure out that a professional baker isn't on that level though…
That's a lot of plastic to wrap them all every time you bake.I would use airtight boxes or something else to keep it fresh.

Realistically its probably because its very easy to tell if stainless steel is dirty or not, but you cant tell with colourful, brown and yellow granite.
I think it's because people associate stainless steel with "professional" kitchens and wrongly assume professional kitchens are inherently cleaner than someone's home kitchen. People who think this have never worked in food service 😂.
