I believe Nikkaido was the one who caused Sugimoto the most harm (not to mention the gunshot wound to the head he received from Ogata). In Abashiri Prison, he pierced his cheek and shot him in the leg. That bastard Nikkaido was another immortal; he survived a bear attack, survived Hijikata's attack that resulted in the amputation of his leg, and fought to the end with two prosthetic legs. A formidable opponent.
Very intense.
Tbh, I’m quite worried about the next episode.
