  1. Thank you for watching these! Im going to do a All fate openings reaction in the next couple weeks so make sure you SUBSCRIBE if you havent yet!

  2. I was so happy they added the fake Rider greeting, I remember how much the manga readers were whining about it being missing from episode 1 in 2024 (Understandable that double spread was iconic and they did it justice).

  3. Okay i havent read the light novel, but do keep in mind regarding Ayaka in Snowfield and Ayaka in Romania that the series is literally called "Strange Fake" and we have had "Fake" and "True" Heroic Spirits being summoned

  4. Ayaka Sajyou was the protagonist of the early version of Fate, back when Nasu came up with the idea in the 90s. Her servant was, of course, King Arthur. Lots of stuff happened and Fate became an Eroge, which thus caused Ayaka to be replaced by Shirou and Saber turned into a girl. Many years later, Ayaka was reintroduced as the protagonist of Fate/Prototype, a version of Fate/stay night more closely aligned with the early drafts. Although, due to Prototype’s nature as basically an early draft of FSN it never really became a full work, with us only ever getting some broad strokes about it (there was even a “Trailer” made for it that highlighted all the cool bits).

Ayaka in strange Fake appeared to be very the same Ayaka, albeit with Blond instead of Black hair, but this episode obviously shows that they’re two different people. (More specifically the Black haired one in this timeline is actually based on Ayaka from the Slice of Life manga Fate/School Life rather than Prototype, but that’s not super important).

In a more meta sense, Fake Ayaka did inherit most of Proto Ayaka’s quirks, mostly her always being super gloomy, angsty, and down on herself while being contrasted by her super hot blond haired knight in shining armor.

You can say our main duo is a combo of a Fake Ayaka and a “Fake” King Arthur (considering Richard was summoned when they intended to summon Artoria).

  5. How does that work? Well, Richard was also duke of Normandy, and spend more times in his french posession that in England, which he kind of considered as a backyard country… (because, yes, at the times, the King of England had A LOT of fiefdom in France, more than the king of France himself… thanks to his mom, Aliénor d'Aquitaine, which had the largest fiefdom in the kingdom and married the king of England after her divorce with the king of France… Yeah, it's…a mess, in fact, there was litteraly one hundred years of war around this mess, and in any case, english wasn't the language for english nobility, it was most likely…french… because, well, England was kind of conquered by the normands… yeah, as I've said, a mess, but anyway, ironically, it's realistic that Richard would be awful with english…)

Well, not Hell itself it's…literally one of four horseman of the apocalypse, good luck to guess which one, even it's kind of obvious… eh, why do you think this servant cas classified as Rider?

Regarding the mentions of Richard's dark past… well, during the crusades, he had executed a lots of war prisoners when he was angry with Saladin… (yeah, the real Richard was more complex that the theme park version used in every version of Robin Hood…)

  6. Man, God after God appearing back to back in the Fate strange fake is so peak. I panicked and immediately googled who spoke with Tsubaki lol

  7. It would seem that Ayaka being a "fake" master is appropriate not just because she summoned the first real Servant despite not technically being a master, but also because she's apparently not even technically Ayaka!
