  1. Back in my day, we lived in a one room cabin. For fun we would watch the flames flicker in the fireplace and listen to the hungry howls of the wolves waiting for us outside the cabin door.

  2. OMG it's so accurate. Where I'm from and I grew up we had only 2 hours tv daily (from 8pm to 10pm) and not because our parents turned the tv off but because that's all that was transmitted on tv. From the 2 hours some days of the week we the kids had 10 minutes cartoons and the rest was politics (news) and some other days of the week from the 2 hours there was like a movie and news. Only news about the president and the country. We were a communist country at that time. But your video is funny, funny.

  3. Do you remember when the bars just showed up on the channel as it went off the air for the night with the test tone?!

  4. Weird church kind of show. LOL I can relate to the rant and the kids just zoning out. 😆 What about TV guides and we got them in another time zone or just incorrect (another provider?) sometimes. You had to do math to try to watch your show. LOL Having to wait and watch other shows actually gave me more to talk about with others as well. I never would've sat through Dragon Ball Z if I didn't have to but now I can sort of get what my husband goes on about. Unexpectedly the show you like pops on- the show you haven't seen in a while and it's super exciting! Kids today will never understand that feeling.

  5. Grandma: When I was a child, there was only one channel and only on Wednesday and Saturday afternoon there was one hour of television for the kids.

  6. In my day, there weren't two hours of cartoons. In my day we had to wait for Saturday mornings for an hour of cartoons because that's all there was.

  7. Two channels…wow….As far back as I can remember, there were 5 channels and we got to use the bunny ears as well. Thank god for Betamax and VHS because I was able to record our favorite cartoons. I remember channels going off air at 12:00PM as well. hah! 😀

  8. How did we even survive those times 😂
We played a lot outside with our friends, chasing a ball, building “bridges” from the rocks so that we could cross a river, running around until it got dark outside… simple, fun times.

  9. Every time I give a pass on a movie I know I would enjoy but not quite what I’m looking for, I think about those days when I got excited about catching a barely decent movie already halfway through

  10. I still wach normal tv nz and it's way worse then old tv the adds are 5 times longer and theres no foot trot flats and the news is less kiwi and more yank now days I'm only 17

  11. Anyone here remember the days before the internet and if you wanted to look something up to learn about it, you had to find the encyclopedia with the correct alphabetical catalog?

  12. In my day we didn't have a remote and cartoons were only on Saturday and my mother would turn them off and tell me to go do something else. Disney on Sunday was a big deal.
