It was also nice to see little girl Jack the Ripper as one of the shadows of Jack before From Hell started up.

So it’s time once again for more fun facts to enhance the experience of this episode:

First off, I want to start by going over Jack the Ripper’s noble phantasms since the anime doesn’t really want to explain them:

The first one “From Hell” allows Jack to become a demon as it is a reference to the idea that Jack the Ripper may have been a demon from Hell. Also, the name “From Hell” is a reference to one of the letters attributed to him that says “From Hell” at the top. There is some dipute towards the authenticity of the letter, but with it being one of his most famous letters it’ll count for Fate.

His second one “Natural Born Killers” allows Jack to create multiple copies of the form he is currently using. This was seen last week when they infiltrated the police station. It’s stated that the amount of copies he is able to make is dependent on the amount of magical energy his master has. It’s stated due to Flat’s absurd amount of magical energy he can create 520 copies of himself, though when combined with “From Hell” that number is reduced to only 200 copies.

Okay, back to normal fun facts!

At one point, Jester made mention of “Night of Wallachia” when talking about Jack. Night of Wallachia is actually the main antagonist from the 2D fighting game known as “Melty Blood” by the studio known as French Bread. The game uses characters from the series Tsukihime, so it is actually a Type-Moon product. Night of Wallachia is also a dead apostle like Jester, though unlike Jester he is a True Ancestor, and would actually be much more powerful than Jester.

At one point Sherm noticed something on Jack’s chest during his fight with Alcides before using From Hell. This was actually an extra green arm with a knife that he was using to try to stab him. He is a serial killer with no form after all.

Right before he used “From Hell” when the multiple Jacks stood next to each other you can see all of the different types of people Jack can transform into, which includes a police officer, a judge, a doctor, a woman, and even a small child. This small child is actually a direct reference to Fate/Apocrypha where Jack was summoned as an Assassin that looked like a little girl. She represented the idea that Jack the Ripper was actually a wraith created from all of the aborted babies from prostitutes in Whitechaple, London where the murders took place.

Jester basically said that Berserker Jack the Ripper is faster than one of the high tier Dead Apostles (the echelon with quad immortality), and is Burial Agency-worthy….which is a powerscaling clue right there.
