In asia theres Going Out clothes. And theres “Going Out” clothes. Essentially miri keeps coming to school in her sunday best, and people can tell.
But its as simple as that miri sticks out because of how she dresses so kids dont know how to approach her. I got this treatment when i was a kid wearing my shitty scratchy church clothes. I looked great and everyone made sure i stayed that way or they get in trouble too.
