Sound doesn't travel in space. So, it's not the actual sound of a Neutron Star. Scientists turn non-audible electromagnetic waves into audible sounds using sonification so we may perceive through sound.
Please don't get me wrong. It's quite awesome; we are lucky to hear this, not hating or anything, just sharing what I learned a few days ago. These are pulsar waves, which travel thru space, radio waves of the Electromagnetic spectrum.
Also, as @andybatmanparky's insightful comment in the replies states, it would take a long long time for sound to travel from the Neutron star to earth even if there were particles in space. Humanity would go extinct before the sound reached earth given the speed of sound.
