Pucci essentially wanted a universe without the entire joestar bloodline opposing him. Emporio just messed up that plan entirely. Maybe he didnt exactly get the happy ending but it was a big W ending for him. He was the hero. Other than that his character was just ok. Now this new universe has the Joestar bloodline still going on and without the existence of Pucci but at the same time it's not the same characters we knew either. Such a bittersweet and crazy ending that will never happen in any other series. It's very experimental so I get ppl who can't buy it, but thats what a lot of Jojo and Araki is about to me. I just can't view this series the same way as other series where I need things to be perfectly logical. It ain't called Jojo's bizarre adventure for nothing haha. This is quite an interesting way to end the timeline and onto parts 7-9 where Araki can reset and write whatever he wants. Araki gonna be Araki indeed.
as you said I don't have much to say about it either, it's nice, I just hope that whenever part 7 is announced netflix has nothing to do with it and we get our weekly format back
if I had a dollar for every time a jojo villain was done in by a small kid using strategies that shouldn't be available for an underdeveloped kid brain, I'd have two dollars, it's not much but it's weird it happened twice
I was very surprised when part 7 started on manga even though the bloodline of Joestar ended. The ideas of Jojo Araki have are vast so, he might devote all his life to create the story of Jojo lol.
When I heard jojo was adapted into anime, I didn't expect it would be better than manga but the quality of every part on anime was higher than manga and made me hyped.
I was glad Jojo was loved by people all over the world and we've enjoyed to watch Jojo anime for a decade. Thank you for reacting Jojo from part1😂
Out of curiosity who was your favorite Jojo protagonist and antagonist in the whole series?
Emporio’s mother would be alive in the new universe because it’s an alternate world where Pucci doesn’t exist so everything he had done basically never happened. Only thing is she probably wouldn’t remember him similar to the others
If you want goated storytelling stop watching anime and watch tv shows like Dark or Mr robot. Most anime tend to be highly illogical and riddled with plot holes but fans will eat it up as long as there’s some “cool action scenes”
People on MAL preaching that Part 6 is the best part, the issue is it could've been. Had one of the best main protag Joestars since Joseph, an interesting locale, a climactic conclusion to all 6 parts, yet it struggles to be anything more than just a little above average. I struggle to care in a conclusion where majority of the side cast are forgettable, in a story that rests on the laurels of Dio and Jotaro without attempting to create something that lets it stand on its own two legs, I feel like Araki gave up on shonen writing during this part and wanted to phone it in just to get out of doing the weekly restrictive bumrush that is shonen manga. Didn't help that Netflix bought this series without understanding the format and way in which it is best told, the janky structure, pacing, it didn't allow for things to sit, for hype and excitement to build up, it felt a very soulless, it lacked the energy it's had before surrounding it.
If or when we get Part 7, I hope Netflix either release it weekly or keep their grubby hands off it, sure David Productions could've done better but I don't feel like fault is entirely with them. Part 6 was a mixed bag beforehand from what I heard and this didn't help. Here's hoping we get to see Part 7, ever since Part 1 aired back in 2012, everybody and their nan been talking about how good it is so really wanna see it
Now that we’ve seen the ending are we finally ready to admit part 6 is easily the best animated part with the exception of maybe part 2. Also this finale pays more of a homage to part 1 ending rather than part 3. I thought that was painfully obvious with the new opening and ending song + Jolyne sacrificing herself etc.
7/10. Could've been better with villain Barry Allen
I think Pucci just grabbed Stone Free's hand and shoved it through Anasui with his super speed, don't think there's any deeper explanation to it than that.
Pretty sure Rohan was still affected by Made In Heaven, I think the joke was just that he's so superhumanly fast at drawing manga that he could still stay in schedule.
The characters in the op you were asking about were just the DIO's sons, they just got uncovered where as they were previously dark silhouettes.
It's not really stated, but my headcanon for the whole oxygen thing is that Pucci was affected by it faster, because he accelerated himself. It would be a neat way for Emporio to use his own ability against him.
Also yeah I kinda shat on part 3 in one of your previous videos, but I don't hate all of it lol. The finale of part 3 is great and DIO's still one of my favorite characters. And overall part 6 isn't one of my favorites either even though it does have probably my favorite ending, definitely agree that Hermes is pretty lame.
Anyway, it's been interesting watching Jojo reactions from someone who's a bit more critical, even if I might disagree with some of your takes.
Never expected emporio to be the Main man at the end after all that pucci did. Araki resetting the bloodline and the characters is interesting, hoping part 7 goes back to weekly. Overall Part 6 is still my least favourite part glad it’s over.
Awful manga part.
I have to say
I think the dub of Stone Ocean was a lot more entertaining in a good way, like with Yu Yu. Highly recommend it
Wanted to mention the difference for the Jotaro and Ermes death in the manga. Jotaro and Jolyne didn’t have a final exchange, it was just Pucci attacks then everyone fell into the water dead (Jolyne just said her monologue to the sky and it was more of a plea that Jotaro will save her.) Decided to bring this up, since Araki ditched the ‘x character has died’ dialogue boxes from then on, so it might be harder for viewers to tell, especially with how much action is in Part 7. Also, we won’t see the new Ireneverse or Emporio again, so I feel bad for those who wanted Part 7 to be continuing in this universe.
It’s a complete blank slate or as Araki put it, a renaissance. In the afterword, Araki stated that he felt that he reached the peak of his creativity and Part 6 was going to be the last part, so he changed the ending of Stone Ocean so that he could create a new trilogy unrestrained by the old Parts. As for why Emporio ended up in the Ireneverse and not with his mom, is due to both ‘Stand Users are attracted to other Stand Users’ and Emporio’s mom died because of Pucci. Everything Pucci related was wiped from existence when MiH disappeared, so she’s alive, just not shown (rip Foo Fighters.)
Even in Pucci's universe parts of the Joestar bloodline remained, only the people who were killed in the previous universe like Jolyne and Jotaro were replaced by lookalikes so Joseph, Josuke and Giorno would've supposedly still been out there. His plan was mainly about giving himself and humanity the power to see and prepare for their own futures which to him was happiness according to that last monologue.
In the 3rd universe where Emporio ended up in things are mostly the same, Giorno etc are still as they were while Jotaro, Jolyne, Ermes and Anasui have new names and at least slightly different lives. This version of Jotaro probably still went through the events of parts 3 and 4 but Irene/Jolyne got a more peaceful life where she didn't need to fight. For all intents and purposes though the originals did really die so I agree it's bittersweet, it's nice that a version of Jolyne can be happy but the Jolyne I knew still had her life cut short, and even if Emporio can get to know them again those original friendships are lost.
The scale of the final battle was certainly fitting for the climax of a long continuity but the writing of the part as a whole didn't feel meaningful enough for it to be worthy of being an ending, and I don't think Araki planned for it to be one either until the latter half. Shame he couldn't plan out the big picture better but I guess that's how it goes sometimes with the weekly manga grind.
To answer your question about oxygen poisoning. Emporio was absolutely affected by it, just like pucchi. However the key difference is that weather report was moving on its own, not according to Emporios will, which is why WP could keep moving even after Emporio poised himself and Pucchi even though pucchi lost control of Made in Heaven. He then killed Pucchi before the oxygen poisoning would kill himself and the universe reset once more while Emporio was still alive
Sports Maxx pulled off Hermes sticker too rememeber
