怪獣8号は次の大ヒットアニメゲームになるか？

friends of the channel, I put a question out to the community about what game should I, you know, possibly cover next, check, you know, whatever. And there’s a couple that kept coming up. One of them is Kaiju number eight. The other is I’m probably going to say it wrong, but Uma Masumi. I don’t know anything about either one of these games other than one is an anime and the other one I think is about horse racing or something. So, I am going to check out Kaiju number eight today. I’m going in blind. I have no idea what this is about, but apparently it comes out soon. I know the other one has already come out. So, I’ve pulled up the website. I’m going to look at the trailer. I guess there’s going to be kind of like a reaction and then I’m going to see if this is of interest to me. And if it’s of interest to you and you want me to play it, you want me to cover it, give me a shout, let me know. Uh I have some time to work on other games considering the way the content cycles work on Persona and I have some other games I’ll be covering just regardless, but this is an interesting one. So, let’s let’s take a look at this. It’s giving me like Girls Frontline vibes. [Music] Captions aren’t doing anything for me. I don’t know if I picked the wrong site or what. I like him. [Applause] Big guns on a tiger. Okay. [Applause] Okay. Looks like Hold on. I want to pause this. Oh, how do I boss? Stop. All right, I want to go back a few frames. What? All I can’t go back too far. I want to see what that battle screen looked like. That dude like super saiyan into a demon. Okay, so we’ve got looks like a typical JRPG kind of party lineup. I can’t see it underneath because the stupid bar is in the way, but it looks like is that like a turn order? I think it’s a turn order. I don’t know. So, we’re g we’ll we’ll keep looking. But I’m guessing this is turnbased. Yeah, it looks turn based to me. Follow-up attacks. Okay. Looked like there was like some shield breaking going on in there. [Music] Oh, that do look cool. I’m not getting a huge good sense. This must be an ultimate. I’m not getting a great sense of what the actual combat is off of that screen, but it looks like some turnbased. All right, we got gear levels. Looks like it’s giving extra effects. This is all standard gotcha game stuff. It looks like different tiers. I’m guessing I’m sure those colors mean SR, SSR. [Music] We got like Attack on Titan vibes going on now. I know nothing of this anime. I know it’s an anime and a manga. I think I heard the manga is done as well, but I literally know nothing about this franchise, so I’d be going in like fully blind. [Music] I like that dude. That dude’s cool looking. I want to go back to gameplay. Godzilla. Hell yeah. [Music] I like the big shield, big axe. I mean, they got some cool weapons. I’ll give him that. [Music] This trailer, it’s almost done. I really want to see more gameplay. Like, this all looks like either ultimate moves or I don’t know, cut scenes or something, which is kind of a bummer. I want to see more about the game itself. Oh, that dude was cool looking. [Music] Okay. Uh, nothing else there. Do they have other trailers of gameplay? That’s the real question. What is all this? This just looks like parts of the cut scenes. Hold on. Pre-launch trailer. Official trailer. Official trailer, too. I just want to skim really quick and see if anything else has gameplay. This looks like Oh, wait. That looks like what I just looked at. Yeah, this is all like gear and stuff. I’m sure it’s like every other gotacha game in the sense that you’re going to have gear to level up, characters to level up. I’m not sure how their actual gotacha system would work on this. If it’s if it’s like characters and weapons or just characters, I don’t really know. Concept. Concept is I’m sure it’s blah blah blah. Yeah, it’s probably just following the anime, I’m sure. Story, I’m sure, is that as well. Let’s look at some of these characters. Um, I mean, they all seem to wear like a military outfit, which kind of limits the creativity. Hopefully, they can, I don’t know, bring other types of characters in. I don’t I don’t know the anime. Tell me if the anime is good. I hear it’s good. I haven’t actually watched it, but so far, all these characters look fairly generic. This dude is cool. What is that name? I say I’m not going to say it right. Dude with the big fists. Cool beard. Like him. Bald dude. Heck yeah. Okay. See, they embrace cool looking dudes. I’ll take this. This is pretty cool with the little mech suit and everything. I wish the screen would stop freaking changing. Can we do this instead? There we go. Um, all right. So, we got Demon Dude. This is obviously what the thing is based off of. Kaiju number eight. I like him. Uh, she reminds me of another anime and I can’t place my finger on what this dude like it’s like can I build a squad with this dude, this dude, this old looking bald dude. Apparently they are good with bald people. See, you know, they’re speaking my vibe and this girl I think is want the big shield. Yeah. Yeah. So like that would be pretty cool otherwise honestly and and I get it. coming from a source material, but they all look too generically similar to really get me excited. And so, I don’t know who would be like SR, SSR, or anything like that, but I’d be looking for this dude, this dude, this dude. I got clearly like the bald people. And this girl, I think, would be the big ones. And then there was one that had like a massive gun. It might have been this one. Yeah, Tiger Girl. I’d go for her. Like, just out of here, I have no idea what they do or how important they are to the story. I’m assuming these are all like main story characters. Um, does this tell me anything? Okay. Yeah, let’s look at this. This is what I want to see. So, it looks like we have some sort of turn order, AoE attack, single target attack. Are these maybe ultimates on the side? Looks like some shields. I really wish there was more, and maybe I just overlooked it, but if you know of like more gameplay system type stuff where it’s really getting into the core of this, let me know. Setting up a squad. Okay. Yeah. So, you’re going to, you know, bring a party. That was obvious in the screenshot. Yeah. Looks like we’re leveling. Is that leveling the weapon? Do leveling. Unlock the true potential cap. Ascension skill enhancements. Enhance the weapon. Yeah, this is this is what every gotacha game does, you know. Ascension. So, I don’t know if this is like you have to pull duplicates so you can, you know, save them somehow. Weapons as well. So, I’m guessing a weapon slash character banner. Story is story. We’ll figure that out if we play it. Uh, campaign. Oh, this is for pre-registration rewards. So, we’ve already got 850. I did pop over in their Twitter. I thought it said they already did the 1 million. So, if that’s the case, you get to select one of the peeps, which means, yeah, I’d be pulling up this dude right here. I’m sure this guy is probably the one I should get. He’s the title character, but that guy looked too cool. Um, get 10 gotacha tickets, a fourst star, 10 tickets, dimension crystals. I’m not sure what that is. Probably something to level something. All right, so this this is, you know, obviously a gotacha game, but based off of what I hear is a a popular anime manga franchise. And it’s just a bummer there wasn’t more gameplay elements to show here. But if you know more about Kaiju Number eight, let me know in the comments. If you are going to be playing this and or you are just a person who stumbled on my channel cuz I made this video and you’re excited for this, let me know. I’m curious to gauge the response of people that, you know, perhaps are truly interested or invested in this franchise and this game itself. If they hit a million registrations, then it’s got at least a decent following, I would say. But that’s it for Kaiju number eight. Let me know again if you if you want me to play it. It looks like an anime gotcha game. I want to find out more about the combat to see if it piques my interest, if there’s something more strategic there.
