Carmen here and welcome back to Kaiu number eight. We are finally on season two. I did watch the special Hosa’s Day Off. It’s cute. If you haven’t seen it, take a look. I was like, hi Number eight, what the I don’t know. Let’s see. It so quickly became one of my favorite shows. I love the characters. I love that it was really different from a lot of the other shows I was watching. Our main character, Kafka, being like the older guy. And I really like that it showed like not the superhero aspect, but like the cleanup crew. Okay, we started there and then just increasingly it got more and more intense. Just your casual Kaiju alarms. Everyone’s like, “Oh, not again.” Oh, we got a flashback. Okay, I’m not even going to lie. I should have rewatched season one. I don’t remember exactly where we left off, but I know that was intense. And they tested Kafka and then he like stopped himself and he’s like, “I’m not a kaiju. I’m me. He’s my hero. the defense force. [Music] Come on. Okay, get out of there, though. Why am I like concerned for their safety when I know both of them are adults alive and well? Like, don’t be stressed. Oh sh Okay, this has to be like a nightmare cuz this can wait. Right. Oh, damn. Should I really every I promise you this is not where we left off. Everyone was like on his side and right. Oh, I thought like I thought they were going to be I thought they were going to betray him, but they were all like, “No, that’s our that’s our man’s. What the hell? Did I Did I Did I not finish it? Did I watch the wrong show?” God. All right. Godzilla. When the When When the did when when Thank Okay. Okay. I should have kn like in my head I was like this has to be a nightmare and it can’t be real. But it’s the fact that I just trust my memory or the idea that I ever know what’s going on so much that I was like damn he’s Godzilla now. Like that’s our reality. They still go they still have him locked up I think. Damn, this is horrendous. How long is that going to take to rebuild? It’s not that I have a favorite character. Oh, yeah. But he also literally saved the entire planet, I believe. So, there was that. New units. No. What about the old units? What about our original crew? What do you mean? I was not impressed. Take a picture. Oh, he’s so cute. Shut up. He needs this like positive energy around cuz he’s a little depressed. He was sending it to Kovka. I really really did not think that they were going to be on his side and immediately they were and I wanted to cry. They need him too with that other we saw that shape shifter. I’ll protect senpai. Oh my gosh, the blurry ass photo. Who’s that? That mother is so huge. He had to crawl under that doorway. She looks like she looks like an ant compared to him. I’m scared. Is everyone actually being split up? I’m going to be pissed. The Kaiju superpower. Oh my god, it’s They’re like the strongest guy. He said, “Oh, maybe let’s not see that.” I don’t know how I forgot, but we saw that in the trailer, too. I’m so excited for this guy. This is the strongest guy. BS5. That’s his room. Stop. I love him. I love him. Why do he pick him up like a cat? Damn, they’re throwing everything away. This is our captain. He said this morin I mean my superior. I cannot take this guy seriously. I get to watch them fight. I love this guy. I already know he’s going to have two different personalities. First confer witness. Oh, we get to see the big boys fight. As excited as I am for like first division, blah blah blah. I Where’s our I like their little training group. It’s fine. It’s surprising how well equipped they are to reroute and contact everyone when there’s a Kaiju sighting. It’s really surprising that it doesn’t just like break into chaos, you know. Damn. Okay. Good thing it’s in the ocean because those aren’t nukes. Imagine that things in the city. They can’t really use firepower like that. I guess they kind of have nothing. Why does it sound like an elephant? What is that? Just think about, okay, we saw the cleanup crew and like all that struggle to dispose of the dead body of the kaiju everywhere. Imagine like the infrastructure like how long it takes to constantly be rebuilding this. Who’s that with the blue hair? Okay, maybe I’m okay meeting some new characters. Maybe I’m okay with it. Oh sh I’m going to see their specs. I want to see Naomi fight. Come on. Time to show off for the newbie. Please those video games coming to life. Clean cleanliness. What? Why are his eyes glowing? What do you mean he’s also cool? What do you mean? He’s a total loser and he’s also this cool. You can’t do both. Are are we going to allow this? Are we going to let them get away with this? Choose a personality. Oh, that’s gross. all that firepower in just one guy. He’s like, “What if I just sliced it up and pierced it right through the middle?” What the He’s hot. Why do they have to do that to us? He wants the credit. I thought he was going to be I mean he he is obviously like in those moments he’s like yeah I don’t even care and he’s freaking he’s sitting like this and all dramatic. Yeah, he’s also this which is interesting. That is what makes these characters in Kaiju number eight so appealing is that they are not like just cool. It’s so good. Shinomia also seems like like a total brat. Super entitle but like powerful, but then she’s also like she’s blushing so hard and she gets so excited at any amount of attention, especially from Kafka. Like that fatherly approval. She seeks it. So it’s so good. You know what I mean? Does he does kind of sound like a weirdo though. That just says already how like how needy is for other people’s approval. He just checking for his name online. He does not care. He’s just looking at Twitter. His vice captain is very good for him. He’s the one holding him accountable and just picking him up like a little baby cat by the scruff of his neck. What are they doing with him? Are they just going to keep him locked up? How the How the are you not going to call him by his name? That pissed me off. [Music] That’s smart because then if he acts up, he’s with people who are strong enough to take him down. Hell yeah. It’s got to work here. Just like that. Yeah, they got bigger things to worry about. It can’t just be him soloing everything. No. Well, why do you got to say it like that, though? Feel like Naomi is trying to piss this off, but he’s still really likable, which makes me mad. He’s still trying to work with this girl. Tell him. Tell him. That’s a yes. Okay, that he can do. Great. Okay, we can do that. You just got to win win win over his heart. We better see Hossha all the time. Like, what do you mean? I’m going to be so pissed. Oh no. What the hell is this? [Music] Are they like breeding? We have an after credit. Oh, we kind of do. [Music] Oh yeah, there is no evacuating that. I beg your pardon. Why would they even add that at the end? That’s so rude to be like, yeah, despair. Darkness is creeping over. Credits. Not even credits. The credit’s already rolled. I am excited to be watching this show again. I’m happy that it’s back. Um, Numi, I’m We’ll have to see where that goes. I’m going to try my best not to absolutely adore him because I’m already struggling. The multiple personalities except he does seem a little bit rude to our baby boy Kofka. Knowing Kofka, he can he can kind of get himself to grow on anyone. So, I think it’s going to happen. My only concern with this whole like first division like, “Oh, cool. We’re better than everyone and there’s cool new characters. Okay, great. But where are my characters? We only have some of them here. I want to see Hosha every day, every episode, every minute. Okay, Ichiawa. Like, where is Okay, we’re really back in it. I’m excited to see more of like the evil Kaiju. I know, which is obviously like is not going to be a good thing, but I think is going to get intense really quickly, and that I’m looking forward to.
