What is the one thing that you like to do on a weekend when you’re home and you don’t have any convention to go to, you don’t have any work to do, and you’re like, I get to rot all weekend. What are the things that you do to enjoy that process? Non work things. Yeah. I like to sleep and I like to go on walks. Yeah. By over where the ducks are. Quarks. I like walks by the ponds. I like seeing the turtles. That’s nice. So, you engage in nature. I see the little the little rabbits, the bunnies, when I saw a snake. Do they come up to you? I’m trying to hone my inner Snow White or whatever Disney thing makes animals come to you. I want that. Cuz you see those Tik Tok videos where it’s like the squirrel comes up to them and it’s like, “Hey, here’s here’s some friendliness. Here’s my social. Here’s my ATM PIN number.” Like, they’re so familiar with the person that you know. Yeah. Yeah. I love that for me. So, walks and animals. Yeah. Tia, what about you? On a weekend where it’s like nothing to do, what’s going to take up your time? I like to watch a lot of YouTube. Like a lot of like weird YouTube rabbit holes. Okay. such as I can’t say on the panel. It’s scandalous, spicy. But I will say something you should do when you don’t have anything to do is order a pizza and then run a bath. Yes. Soak the pizza in the bath. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. No. Okay. You eat the pizza in the bath. That makes sense. And if you have a crown, if it’s a flower crown, you should wear that. It’s very therapeutic and good for your soul. A flower crown. I feel like this is a conversation that Happy and Nazu have. Wait a minute. So, you eat the pizza, you don’t soak it in the water? No, you don’t soak it in the water. But have you ever tried it? Might put a fire in your belly. What about you, Sheremy? What are the things you do when you don’t have a weekend and and you’ve you’ve gone into the witness protection program and you’ve been like, “John, seriously, mommy crashed in a plane on the side of a mountain so that you get a weekend yourself.” Like, you just like I I don’t know. I don’t I don’t have that. You’ve got to fake your death so they don’t so they don’t come looking for you. I can’t do that. Oh, I I meaning I what I mean is fake her death so that she can have a free weekend where like you know her husband takes care of the baby and she can like without guilt. No, I can’t I the guilt will always be there. Oh, because on Monday when you show up you’re like I lied. I I didn’t die. No, I I love them. I love hanging out with them. So, um if I have time off, I if I really like going to work out or do yoga or do something uh movementoriented, so that’s what I do with my spare time. Uh maybe maybe uh no, I was going to say I would read, but I I actually probably with my time off I need to clean and get things done, so I don’t do that. What do you do? There was this documentary entitled uh the scandalous behind the scenes real life of Jade, Tia, and Jeremy, A Journey. And it was it was an unauthorized documentary. Cool. Awesome. So, preface, I’ve watched the whole series, both languages. I’m re-watching it with my wife right now. We just she stopped for like 3 days after the seven year because she was like, “They’re gone. I jumped into Edalus and I fell in love with it in English. Nice. Etelus. That’s actually where I want to start the questions cuz it’s my favorite arc. Okay. And it’s me too. Oh, the the range is the the translation of the range is wrong because you’re having to play two distinctly different versions from Utah and you chair. I do not want to butcher it. I am sorry. And then of course you got the calf. Um what is it? One of those names. I’m Jade Saxton. I play Carla in Fairy Tale. Carla and Tia. Yeah. Yeah. We can say we play. Yeah. You know what? They’ve been voicing for so long. If you don’t know who they are, you’re doing it wrong. If if you don’t know this is Jeremy and Tia and Jade, I I I need to warm up my slapping hand. I know. But so, starting with that, my I’d say my first question for the panel would be y’all basically been in most of if not all the arcs that the show has been. We’ve been in a lot of arcs. We’ve been in all the arks. All the fairy tale arcs. Tremendous arcs. Favorite arc y’all gotten to work on? Both filler or not filler? Cuz the not filler ones are unhinged. Yes. Favorite arc. Fe. What’s your one’s your favorite? My favorite arc. So, here’s why I like uh the um Galuna Island because here’s why I don’t draw um uh I’m not saying I’m not capable of it. I can draw seven things right off the top of my head. Worm, string, a smile, a rope, a tight tight rope. That’s five things. Oh, a tight rope. An earthworm, a heartworm, a ringorm. That’s eight things. Okay, good. Don’t mean to brag, but um the reason I I I like that arc is because I feel like when they created those characters, they rounded up all the character creators and all the artists and they shoved them in a room and they threw in a bunch of ketamine in there and they shut the door and they go, “You better create all these characters and I want them done in 5 minutes.” And then they created the characters that you see in that arc because it’s like they’re so weird looking and they’re so like who comes up with that? The demon designs. Yes. early seasons you have the little blink and you miss it from uh Mashimasan had like little snippets from his old manga in the background and you pause like what am I looking at and so that’s why it’s like that’s kind of crazy you know that’s why it’s my favorite ketamine telling you I want some you want oh like now or here right now. Purple’s my favorite color and I really like the purple on I think that we need a like a round of pops in the purple outfit. Yes, that would be really cool. You know what I think would be a cool pop uh like theme that Funko Pop should do is create manga versions of all the anime style pop. So, black and white. They look a little sketch and the box is black and white like manga, but the logo’s in color. That’s very cool. The whole Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I had a metaphorical alter waiting for thousand years year after year after year. How is it like coming back? I even forget how long did it take between the end of fairy tale. Like you mean you mean the end of fairy tale the final season to the new season the got the jump scare surprise got you final season called the hundred years quest the 5year gap I remember waiting I got in trouble I got in trouble for saying the final season cuz I did that the whole time that we worked on the final season and that’s like one of the few times that I’ve had somebody from corporate say like knock that off. We were doing we were doing like a promo thing and I said the final season and they said stop doing air quotes. It’s the final season. And you you were like what’s going to happen if I keep doing air quotes? They’re like Jeremy don’t test me. Don’t test. They said it’s the final season. Don’t don’t do don’t do air quotes. The other thing that I got in trouble with the only two times that I’ve ever gotten in trouble for fairy tale uh it Thanks for clarifying. Yeah. Um, stop saying final season with air quotes and do not as a representative of the fairy tale cast ship anybody, but you as a fan are you as a fan and as an actor are allowed to ship people, but you cannot as Lucy present because it it is not official. So, anytime anybody asks, I have to be like it is my opinion. It is not I’m not a represent. I have to give the disclaimer. It is my opinion. Don’t do that, Jeremy. Like, I texted you and I texted a couple of other people that like work at Foundation. They’re like, “We don’t really know.” And we found out like I mean, I found out like a week before the dub was like announced to come out that we were going to be working on it. Uh, we want to get Sheremy back, but stop with the air quotes, Jeremy. You must stop with the air quotes. They they really they they really wanted me to to to be nervous and they were they succeeded. I was nervous. Yeah. So 5year gap and then you know the thing is with with them they just like that’s one gig in many like they’re what they’re what they do the scope is like a very vast universe. So like Fairy Tale is their favorite because they’re, you know, Fairy Tale’s awesome, but they they do so much. Anime, got video games, directing, all sorts of stuff. And I’ve played or watched or done a bunch of stuff that y’all all worked on. Thank you. Your fourth season of Born, not born of the DXD Hero going after Chris George’s third season was phenomenal. See, cuz when you guys cuz those of you that that as we all do, we follow things. We see movie productions and stuff like that. It sounds like on a movie production, it’s so different. It’s like, well, we’re like, you know, Samuel Jackson’s talks to be, you know, back as Mace Wu and we’ll see what happens. We’re gauging his interest and we’re in these multi-million dollar negotiations with the contract with voice over. It’s like, hey, what you doing in 30 minutes? It’s pretty much what VO is like. I feel like very casual. That’s why. But because you know why it’s so casual? It’s cuz they don’t have time. Because they’re so busy marketing anime. I’m kidding. Um but uh yeah. But um one thing I was bummed about is um you guys dubbed all the anime, but I love the fairy tale games and I wish you all would have been called those. I I talked to the company actually cuz I I did I asked him I said talked to the company to the company. He wouldn’t It was weird cuz at the time I was like why can’t I do air quotes? And they were getting really insensed that I was doing them during the conversation. But um I asked them I said uh could we do an English thing uh dub of it? And he said the the just the budget would be they just don’t have the budget for it. They wanted so many characters. They wanted to um and it makes sense because there are so many characters. Yeah. It it would it would explode the Yeah, it was a small studio. I think it was Gail something. I have the game on the desk back then funny enough. But in the second season, the second game that came out, I’ve floated it out there again. I said, “Hey, cool that you’re doing another game. Any chance that it it’s just no.” Gotcha. Yeah, I wish. Yeah, that would be really cool. Even if even if they made it a DLC where it’s like, “Hey, here’s a DLC of just the English version if you want to get that and throw that on there.” Yeah, they’ve done that before, they have uh like a Dragon Gen. Um, what are some lesserknown roles you have done that you are proud of and wish were more known? Some lesser known roles that you’re proud of and what? Uh, wish were more known. Um, I did a a show called Honda and I and I was obsessed with this guy in my class so much that he dropped an eraser that my character gets out onto the balcony of the school and everyone thinks she’s going to jump off, but really she’s just so obsessive that she sings an entire number about this eraser inclusive of four erasers that come in that sing in the background that say we are eraser boys and like do all this amazing stuff. I didn’t but they’re the best part even though I’m singing in the front like they’re the background and it’s amazing. Um yeah. And what was the name of that show again? Honda Hanakun. Honda. Honda. H A N D A you know. And then the They kept the Did they Were there songs like that in every episode or just that one? I think it was just like a oneoff random moment. That’s so cute. What about y’all? Lesser known. Uh, lesser known. Um, well, I I don’t know if it’s lesser known, but it’s a lesserk known character for me. Um, I worked on a show called Blue Exorcist. I voiced Yuri, who is the the twins mom, and I recently got to do it was just like a one-off years ago. Uh, but I got to go back and do the most recent season, which was Yuri’s story, and I got to play her as a child all the way up. And that was very, very special. Um, and then, uh, I also got to direct, co-direct and act in a show called Coach Row Lives Alone, and I got to voice Coach Row, and that was a very special project. It’s just a just a very quick series, but I loved getting to work on it, and I loved getting to direct it as well. So, I spent a lot of time. You were great in that. Thank you. Very good. Tia, I don’t remember what this show was called, but I remember playing a teacher named Miss Becky, who desperately wanted to get married. A she was very very funny and very inappropriate. Um, huh. What was the show? Yeah, it’s really funny. I I distinctly remember her being naked with sushi all over her and it’s not appropriate, but it was one of the more fun roles. That’s very funny. Silly girl. Uh um sure. Well, let’s see. Oh, um I guess I mean I guess Sergeant Frog. Oo, good one. I mean, you know, yeah, that’s a fun one. What’s crazy is everyone that comes up to the table that says, “I bet I’m the only Sergeant F.” And I’m like, you’re the literally like the 30th person today to bring up Sergeant Frog. It is cool, but none of y’all know each other. Yeah. So, you all think you’re the only one that knows Sergeant Frog, so that’s kind of cool. Yeah. But that was a great show. That was a show where I was exhausted doing it because I would record that show from 10 to 10. Yeah. So we do like strangely later episodes from 10:00 to 6 and then 6:00 to 10 I would do the episodes that preceded that and I would sleep in the booth on breaks. I would sleep in booth at the whole space booth E. I had the biggest space and I would take a nap in that booth. Um but yeah it was 12 hours a day. That was so much fun that I remember that show. It was back when I first started. That show was so big and then it disappeared off the face of the earth. Wondering if it was a marketing issue. I don’t know. Well, Cook came in when we were recording mid recording. He brought a letter and he goes, “After this session, we’re done recording this.” And I’m like, “What?” Basically, the director of production came into the room while we were recording it to let us know in real time, never happened before, that we’re just done recording it. No reason. You know, it’s crazy. Some productions, I feel like all productions kind of do this in a way. They they they they act like they’re the they’re like we’re a government agency and it’s like I can’t tell you that information. You can’t tell me why we’re not recording a vacuum writing little frog that likes to take over try to take over Earth. That information is dangerous if I have it. So, we didn’t know. Yeah. It was great to It was great to meet you three ladies. If you if you might recognize me. Yeah. Good. All right. This question is this. What is your favorite moment? Favorite moment in your on your favorite arc. What’s your favorite favorite moment in your favorite arc? Um, I really loved in the Edteilus arc when Happy and Carla finally kind of have like a bigger heartto-he heart and an emotional katharsis like moment, you know, because before then it’s they they’re just not as close at that point. So, I that’s a really a special moment during that arc. favorite moment talked to you. I I don’t know about Etelus arc, which is my favorite arc, but I do my favorite point is when Carla and Happy or Happy sees Carla for the first time and he gets all the heart eyes. It was very tune. Um, I loved that and um it continues to be one of my favorite moments. Ah, it’s so I think Grand Magic Games would be one of my favorite arcs, but I have a couple of other favorite moments that are not from that arc. I love uh the moment where Lucy goes to see the celestial spirit king on behalf of Loki. Um, and I also love the moment where Lucy goes to talk to her dad and says that she identifies more as a member of fairy tale than as a member of the Heartfield family. I think those were two really sweet moments. Sweet, heartbreaking, very heartfelt moments. Um, I think I think I have a favorite set of characters more than an arc. And I would say the bun jiggle gang because I feel like someone created them. Mashima created them said like, “Let me see if I can get this past the legal.” And then when it did, he’s like, “Oh, well, now I got to create an arc for them.” Cuz it worked. I feel like that was my favorite every time they’re on the screen. What’s your favorite? Uh, so many Oh my gosh, I’m so That’s okay. Don’t I I don’t want you to apologize for having so many favorites. Isn’t that a weird thing? If you only get so many apologies in a day, why would you waste one because you have too many favorites? You love things. Yeah. Don’t apologize for things that you love unless they hurt other people. But if they don’t hurt anyone else, don’t apologize for them, right? Or animals.
