Wind Breaker IS PEAK.

Wind Breaker IS PEAK.

With so many new action anime popping up these days and also some questionable ones too, it’s kind of hard to keep track of what people actually rate and what’s actually hot garbage. But one show has managed to rise up out of the ashes of our beloved shows that have ended and that’s Windbreaker. [Music] Good for you. Cuz I want to make it baby. [Music] With many anime coming to an end like Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, and soon My Hero Academia, we don’t really talk about that one. I was getting kind of tired of watching those insane types of anime. Don’t get me wrong, stories and characters are all amazing in them, but I wanted something fresh, something to really change my perspective on life itself, something a bit more realistic. I needed something a bit more human. So, while scrolling through the endless amounts of shows on Crunchyroll, some of which are borderline anti, don’t get me started on that, I managed to stumble across Windbreaker. And reading the description, I felt like it was nothing extraordinary, but I might as well just give it a watch, see how it is. Can’t hurt, right? I think I ended up watching eight episodes in one go. I really couldn’t stop myself. The main character, Sakura, is tired of people making fun of him. So, he teaches himself to become strong and fight those who even appear to be stronger than him, even if they really aren’t. And this character is rooted deeply in an insecurity in himself, which stems from the fact that when he was growing up, literally no one liked him. Maybe it was because of the way he looked, the way he walked, the way he talked, the fact that he had no relatives who wanted to do anything with him. To put it simply, he was alone. So when he rocks up to this humble town called Makochi and joins Furin, he hopes to beat everyone and become the strongest guy there. The town’s actually really nice though, to his surprise. And after saving this girl from a bunch of goons, I don’t know if that’s the right choice of words. He gets invited to get free food. Also, she somehow thinks his hair and eyes look cool, too. Thing about Sakura is that he’s not used to compliments of any kind, so he quickly becomes overwhelmed and turns red. It was kind of nice for a change to see that an MC wasn’t just sunshine and rainbows about themselves and actually for once having a goal that wasn’t as simple as saving people. I’m just saying like the different complexes and layers within his character are something that just isn’t really experienced. Maybe Aaron Jerger, but my brother could literally see in the past and future, so I kind of rule him out. This complex that he has to become the strongest turns into a question of what the strongest actually looks like. And while many anime have shown a similar progression, it feels very natural for the MC to have a character that they work towards. And whether or not they actually get to be like the strongest is what the anime, well, in itself works towards. According to Redditors who have read the manga, Windbreaker with season 3 coming up is about to get even better, and the character development is going to be next level. And I hope you guys are as hyped as I am because I truly believe that there isn’t enough love around this show. Yeah, I haven’t seen that many edits on TikTok yet. So, you know, you guys need to start doing your thing. For a show that’s packed with action, funny moments, insane rivalries, drama, tension, literally anything and everything that someone would want from a TV show, it’s really hard to see why no one talks about it. There is 100% a lot to unpack in this show, but I just want you guys to see that for yourself instead of me doing the unpacking for you. Side characters are written with a great care and thought, too. And the simple fact that they also rise with the MC gives the show much more of a wholesome feeling than other shows. There aren’t any characters that they just throw in there for comedic relief or just archetypes that are so annoying to watch and endure. All characters serve a purpose to the story as a whole. And they all sort of represent different types of people that you’d meet in life. In other words, no two characters share the exact same ideals, but they also don’t conflict with each other constantly to make it an exhausting watch. The antagonists have genuine problems that are realistic and different when you compare them to each other. And these also like they build up and make sense that lead to their actions. So, for example, one of the characters is called Toji Tommyyama. And this guy literally went from being one of the weakest to one of the strongest in a really short amount of time, rising to the top. And once he finally got there, it drove him crazy. It felt like he no longer had any purpose. So his behavior became impulsive and dude literally turned into Homelander. But all jokes aside, you can actually relate to some antagonists on deeper level and that takes some master storytelling. So yeah, this was pretty quick, but guys, please watch Windbreaker. Let me know what you guys think about it. Even if you just watch one episode and just I’d be really happy to hear what you guys think. Second season came out not too long ago and I think it was an absolute banger. Subscribe to get us to 1K and I will always appreciate you guys. Peace. [Music] Hey, [Music]
