delhi is a massive city full of chaos colors and contrasts but there is one part of Delhi that feels completely different a place that doesn’t match the rest of the city’s vibe welcome to Latin Delhi the heart of India’s power and planning let’s rewind a bit when the British decided to shift their capital from Kolkata to Delhi they didn’t just move offices they built an entirely new area that is New Delhi and to design this new imperial capital they called Sir Edwin Latin letins had a simple but grand vision at one end he placed the voice house today known as Rajpati Bhavan from there he drew a straight line a central axis called Rajpad which passed through India gate today this historic stretch is known as Kartavad this axis is intersected by Janpad a road that connects directly to Konaut place this resulted a city’s layout that feels open elegant and like any other part of Delhi but Latians did something more he made sure that at least onethird part of the area was left as green space that’s why Latians Delhi is still one of the greenest part of the entire city today this zone holds some of the most powerful buildings in India including the new parliament house so if you are watching this from Delhi or if you have ever visited have you noticed the design of Latin Delhi let me know in the comments thank you so much for watching the video subscribe for more such updates
