In the manga Meryl and Milly got little to no character development any they did get came from the 90’s anime. Also it’s my theory that old dude is just a vehicle to introduce Milly later when he dies tragically.

Studio Orange is the goat animation studio when it comes to CG anime. I highly recommend Land of Lustrous by them. The manga for Land of Lustrous is also close to ending.

There are a bunch of reasons why I don't care to watch this show, but the immediate one is the color palette.
They gave him that dumb broccoli cut and oversized grandma glasses… Disgracing his original style plus CGI is all I need to know this is worthless.
You should definelty watch Bleach, Johnny voices the main character and has 300 episodes and it's ongoing

As someone who hasn't seen the original series, I think they did a great series, the animation looks amazing even for CGI, and I believe they thought of the exposure they'll get through new viewers to get more revenue because of it.
The original series is amazing and timeless and I’m actually glad they’re not doing a direct remake but more of a retelling. Hated the Berserk CG but honestly thought the ending of the first episode of the new Trigun looked amazing.
Cut the bullshit, it is bad. Stampede should've been animated by another studio who does 2d animation, then it might be palatable even for me.
the animation is solid but 2D animation is still king. Also, no one died when the father and son attack the town? They all had drinks and laughed later on. That was weird.

I read the manga probably like a year ago and I can say that, yeah the old dude is new and Millie should be in his place. I haven't even watched the show and I hate it for their pointless exclusion of best girl.
I still can't fathom why the best %100 CGI anime studio with incredible talent decided to make a half-assed Trigun adaptation that nobody asked for instead of making Houseki No Kuni's Moon Saga…
