  1. Amazing video and thank you for breaking it down!! Despite the economic downturn,I'm so happy I have been earning $60,000 return from my $9,000 investment every 21 days

  2. @John Liang I keep switching between a debit and credit card(Citi double). I am not a fan that I keep having to calculate with a credit card how much my true balance is. Can someone help clarify what is the best way credit or debit? I pay off my balance in full but watch Dave Ramsey.

  3. For someone that is rebuilding her credit and is FINALLY understanding how the credit cards game is, it is so exciting and rewarding to see how my credit has improved and it has been to YouTube pages like yours. THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping people to understand that we don’t need to pay a third company to “FIX” our credit and charge us extra fees upon the credit card fees. I was able to learn and understand this fact thanks to you!!! Keep up the excellent work that you are doing. Best of luck to your business and hopefully one day you will get those credit cards in the level 5 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

  4. You should’ve also mentioned about being an Authorized User, especially with a high credit score individual. I’ve done that with my husband, he has great credit score. I ended up with an offer right away to open my own credit card (1k balance). Started at 699 credit score, now it’s 704 pts!

Not only we have to pay before the due date, we also have to not use more than 30% of the credit card. Anything beyond that, even if you paid in advance or on time, it affects credit score a LOT.

ANyway, great content and channel! New subscriber here!

  5. Even two years ago, I laughed at American Express and thought that cards with $500 + annual fees were absolutely stupid and didn't understand why anyone would pay such money for a credit card.

But now I'm already at the top of the credit card ladder racking up the points on Miles with platinum, gold and other high-end cards.
I live by American Express's slogan "don't live life without it."

  6. Thanks, for the video, last years I have chase freedom unlimited & Amex blue cash preferred for gas & groceries. I just got CSR and thinking getting freedom flex to maximize URP for travel.

  7. John,

What is the most effective way to spend AMEX points without flying? I love to travel but I drive or take trains. I don't fly. The AMEX Gold looks great for me for its potential to earn with my lifestyle, but I'm not sure about redeeming those points. Thanks!

  8. There is no "ladder". Credit Shifu got it WRONG. I'll prove it.

Credit Shifu created the ladder based on card costs or "value". But I am on "Team Cash Back". I don't want or need travel. My goals, like many others, are different. However, this makes it appear that my 30+ credit cards are stuck at "level 2". Not accurate, nor fair.

So let me introduce you to the "Credit Card Fork". It is a fork with three tines (the points on a fork are called "tines").

Simply put, what you call "level 1" is the HANDLE of the fork. These are mostly predatory annual fee cards, student cards, and cards with no benefits.

The three tines are EQUAL, side by side. They are not steps, one above the other.

The first tine is "cash back". The second tine is "travel". And the third tine is "status". They cover the three goals and one is not better than any other.

Some cards exist on more than one tine. For example, the Chase Freedom Flex exists on both the "cash back" tine and the "travel" tine. Cards that are made to impress people (mostly what you call "level 5"), such as the Centurion card, belong on the third tine, "status". These are typically metal cards that pretentious, annoying people clang in order to compensate for something.

If you are on "team travel", you are NOT above "team cash back", just because your goals are DIFFERENT.

Tell me, are people who travel to Europe (because they like Europe the most) "ABOVE" the people who choose to travel to the Caribbean (because they like the Caribbean most)? They have different goals, so who is "above" the other?

  9. 90k offer for AMEX gold through referral links. As of now I have this referral link but I won’t post it unless people want me to bc fraudsters

  10. The info on the black card is off. It ranges from 250k to 500k across ALL AMEX cards/accounts to be considered, and it changes all the time as to what the requirements they want to put forth each week, month. This card is actually where millions are spent. We can talk more if you want and can break it down just as a random information piece. I see the info wrong on many channels and a couple others asked for someone to contact them if they had the card and yet, they never even respond. Up to you.

  11. I don't have any Chase card. My question is should I start with the Freedrom Flex or straight to Preferred? I want to build up the point system strategy. I only have one credit card (6 years of having it) so far. Credit score is 710+

  12. I’d love to see a video on why you chose to pick Asiana airlines to credit miles to! I’ve been looking online for the best airline frequent flyer programs for each alliance and there’s not so much information on all the ins and outs of each program.
