I think Kiui is my favorite character, not like a best girl, but an interesting character.
"I don’t belong anywhere anymore." Poor Kiui, they are going through a lot of issues, depression? You will get more of their back story later in the show as well as for Kano. It was interesting to see how Mahiru got Kano to video call Kiui so that Kiui could see Mahiru's performance. Something Kiui needed to hear. When Kiui went to the shop, it looked like the kids outside were in the same high school uniforms as Kiui was seen wearing, so I suspect they were hiding their identity so their classmates wouldn't recognise them and ask awkward questions.
There are a number of things Kiui says in the episode that made me wonder if how they identify themselves and how others see them is part of what they are going through. It was nice to see Kiui meeting up with Mahiru and Mahiru's reaction to Kiui having pink hair.
Love how Mahiru was trying to learn a dance with Kano's help and her reaction to how the character is portrayed as dancing in the original tail.
Kano: The way you're giving something a try. I really, really love that!
