This story is good but I managed to understand that they need to survive because suicidal thoughts are strong sometimes when sadness invades us, according to what I have captured, these balloons are related to suicidal thoughts that people in Japan have due to their fast-paced way of life. .but the girl doesn't show that, just surviving.. like the balloons turn psycho at the end.

Definitely the most disturbing episode in the series. Imagine living in that world where you literally cannot go out. The pandemic lockdowns we had would be nothing compared to this.
