Thorfinn is completely dead inside
This was a hard watch
Thorfinn's only goal, dream, desire, purpose in his life was killing Askeladd which he couldn't accomplish, now he has nothing to accomplish and as a wise evil douchebag man (Griffith) once said, those who don't have dreams are dead in living corpses. That's what basically Thorfinn is right now.
The next episode will(probably) cover one of the most wholesome moments in this arc.

Thorfinn: depression
Yeah Thorfinn a basically a legendary warrior and he's not even 20. He could have easily killed everyone there if he wanted. But think of the personal cost to throfinn. shift the perspective a bit and his mental state makes perfect sense. At 6 he saw his dad die then he had to work with the guys who killed him in order to get a chance at a proper revenge. He's never even had a single friend or really any good thing a normal person may experience during childhood. On top of that he didn't even get his revenge instead you could argue his target died a heroes death achieving his goal while raising up his own artorius in Canute to the throne. So far he literally hasn't experienced a single good thing that didn't end in tragedy and even in his dreams he is haunted by those he killed.
Somebody needs to give Thorfinn's emotions a phoenix down.

i loved the 1st season of this series and i read the manga and let me tell you it was a waste of time , why people are saying peakland saga i cant understand !!
Thorfinn's line "Not a single good thing has happened to me on my entire life" always hurts to listen. Just imagine being in his position in the world he was living in. Anyone else would've committed suicide by now.
