So I'm guessing Sonic's Gotta Go Fast condition is going to have a bit more significance. The only really useful thing that they did was give him air shoes like Shadow so he could run on water and he has normal shoes with the electricity in the new Green Hill, which isn't water-based.
Kinda interested in how Shadow will go about things. Probably just fight Sonic, end up in the water world, tag along with Sonic since he can't just leave somewhere else and use Chaos Control to travel dimensions with Sonic since he doesn't have connection to the Prisms power.
Could also be interesting to see him interact with the Chaos Council with his connection to Gerald and Maria if they even existed in the New Yolk universe.

I did not know of these screenshots, thank you Prem for bringing my attention to this! I saw the first image this morning actually and I thought it was fanmade but NOPE!
I hope season 2 brings us more characters that we know and love. And I hope they tell us where this takes place in the cannon timeline. Because I have a hard time believing this fits in the games. I mean we know it takes place after Adventure 2 due to Shadow and Rouge but that's pretty much it.
