A Condition Called Love is a 2024 animated TV series about a high school freshman named Hotaru Hinase who struggles with love and romance:
The story: Hotaru is a first-year high school student who has a vibrant life with family and friends, but not much luck in romance. She witnesses her classmate, Saki Hananoi, breaking up with his girlfriend and offers to share her umbrella. The next day, Hananoi asks Hotaru out, and she becomes flustered.
The characters: Hotaru struggles with the enigma of love, while Hananoi is heavy-handed with it. Some say that Hananoi is a broken and lonely person who has probably consumed a little too much romance media growing up and has become a hopeless romantic.
