"People fear what they don't understand" it's was hard decision for Malcolm who had to do what he had to in order to make a different. Hell if it was John or any Genius like Dr. Edwin Mack or Danny Dyson, their would understand and support Malcolm
That something John connor would do if he see a machine in Terminator Salvation, he know that machine cannot be trust if they wearing a human skin and walk around among of them like a spy so ye I wouldn't blame a the resistance

I guess Malcom come from a timeline where John Connor didn’t exist because if he does they would never fought from 1997 to 2045 while in original timeline Connor led the resistance to victory in 2029 but not before they send the terminator back in time, however with the machine main facility In Colorado have been destroyed connor reactivated the Time Machine and send Kyle Reese and T 800 to protect him and his mother in the past while in the aftermath the war is over( but the final battle will be in the past.) humanity will rebuild. In fact in almost every timeline humanity always manage to overcome the machine.
He's going to hell that's for sure he killed 7 people for a machine and they had every right not to trust any machine this it kinda outweighs the cause.
