It’s funny how well a duck and a rabbit fit into the chompettes role, before I knew the legend behind Kurt I thought they were just chosen for being very good meat ingredients in a stew or meal, after finding out the real reason I still can’t help but see it as a wonderful setup
Edit: I’m realizing that the rabbit and duck aren’t just fitting items for being meat, they are more specifically ‘small game’ which can be much more easily farmed/hunted by poorer people and keep them away from the jaws of death. Truly life saving and yet very ‘low grade’ meat by todays standards
